Hiccups Common in Puppies?

Scarlett gets the hiccups frequently but they will only last a minute or so. Is this common in young puppies?

Yes, very normal!!!!! Scarlett is very cute!!!

I asked vet about my dogs hiccups-he laughed and said it was very common in puppies.

Mine has outgrown hiccup stage but is burping a lot. Look what you have to look forward too!!

Rooney has always hiccuped a lot and so does Stuat - I think most puppies do it.

Harley seems to have passed the hiccup phase, but oh how he burps sometimes after eating.  btw Scarlett is adorable!

Barley used to get the hiccups a lot. I didn't realize it was a puppy thing. He doesn't hiccup much anymore, but he has started to burp.

Oh my gosh, YES!!!  Henry still has them all the time.  I asked the vet and he said it's totally normal.

just stumbled upon your question. thank you for asking about this! Jackson gets the hiccups a few times a day .. it's really kind of cute, but i was starting to get a little worried... happy to hear that he is normal :) .

We were worried about this too! Riley gets hiccups very frequently.  Good to know it's all ok, we had thought about ringing the vet.  Glad now that we didn't!!!
