Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum
Hi everyone,
I just wanted to say a quick thank you to all of the wonderful folks who responded to my initial worrywart posting about my new pup. Fen has adjusted beautifully to her new home. After a short week, she's settled down a great deal. The biggest change has been the barking.. Fenway no longer freaks out without me being there, which I think is really exciting considering that a week ago she was inconsolable if I wasn't hands-on at all times.
Socialization has gone really well. She basically loves everything and everyone, including my two cats (who aren't very enthusiastic, but don't seem to mind either). She was a big hit at her first vet visit today as well and charmed everybody. Is this normal??? What a gregarious breed :)
Again, THANK YOU to the DK forum for helping soothe my nerves over doing the 'wrong thing'.
Oh, and I'm totally in love.. she has me wrapped around her paw with visions of training her up to someday be a TDI dog. Can't wait to start puppy classes in a few weeks.

Im glad you found DK, Id be lost without all these wonderful people here! Join the group Doodles that love their cats and share photos when the kitties are brave enough to pose with Fenway!
We are all here for each other at DK. Lord knows it's been a lifesaver to most of us! This network is simply amazing and it is the first thing I check when I turn my computer on in the morning! It's like a lifeline.
Fenway is adorable and I'm so happy that he is adjusting so well. My pup is 14 weeks old today. I've had him just 3 weeks and I can't imagine life without my little 'Dood'.
HOORAY!
Last night Fenway did not bark or whimper a single time when I went to bed. I've been leaving her separate from me in her pen, partially for consistency and partially because my room is firmly cat domain. She will occasionally voice her desire for attention, but she does not freak out anymore unless I place her in her crate with the door closed.
:)
