MCP Actions has a "Free High Definition Sharpening Photoshop Actions" available for download: https://www.mcpactions.com/downloadable/customer/products/ Be sure to select the version of PS you are using (ie, CS5 vs Elements). To install it, unzip the file, then locate PS application on your harddrive and drag the "MCP High Definition Sharpening.atn" file into your Presets>Actions folder. For those who are new to using actions, launch PS, then go to Windows>Actions. You should see it there. (If not, double click it in your Presets>Action folder.)

It's a 2 part action set. One is for HD sharpening of images at full size, the other one resizes it for web (72dpi) then sharpens it.

I just noticed that they send you a video tutorial with your (email) receipt. :)

This is my absolute favorite....
Ooooooh, ANOTHER terrific site/blog! Thank you for posting this Penny! I feel like a kid on Christmas morning! Woo-hooooo!
I am thinking of getting photoshop but don't know which version. Obviously cost is a factor but also easy to learn.  Should I start with the basics and keep upgrading? Is the basic level any better than what I can do in iphoto? Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Adobe Photoshop Elements is a great program and easy to learn. If you decide later that you want to upgrade to Adobe Photoshop CS5, however, you'd have to buy it separately. BTW, if you know anyone who is a college student or teacher, they have an Education package, which is the full working version of CS5 for a fraction of the cost.

Thanks Linda. I do have 2 SIL's in the school system. I will check with them.
Here's a link where you can get it on Amazon for $199, which is an $800 savings! http://www.amazon.com/Adobe-Photoshop-Extended-Student-Teacher/dp/B... :)
Just wanted to let you know...I have Photoshop Elements 7 and this action worked perfectly as well....might want to mention that....Thanks for a great action....I am a real action junkie....
Thank you for letting me know, Penny!
