This is a Bissell Poweredge Pet hard floor vac-I'm SOOOOO tired of tumbleweeds! I keep finding hair tumbleweeds in the same places everyday or even multiple times a day. I sweep them up and next time I go back and they are back! It is SO FRUSTRATING! DH had put a new laminate floor in the office and we had one in the kitchen. I was using a broom and dustpan and then I would go over it again with a dry swiffer mop before I mop the floor. DH is VERY particular about what I use so it doesn't scratch the floor.

Last weekend I found this-it has rubber wheel (not plastic) and the pink things are like rubber sweepers and it sucks it up. The shape is to get against the baseboards. Just what we need is ANOTHER vac in the closet but I will break the bank buying swiffers for 2 rooms now to use multiple times a day! Anyway, if someone has this or seen it in person do you think it would pick up tumbleweeds for good (until next cleaning not next hour) or what do you do you use on laminate/hardwood?? My doodles don't shed a lot but there's quite a bit of those creatures everyday.

On Bissell.com if you order before June 30th-you get 10% off ($44.99) free shipping and then they will also donate 10% to animal shelters. So now would be the time. It's 49.99 at Target.

ANY advice??? It's driving me nutty! I know there are bigger issues in the world but this one keeps popping up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THANKS!!

I think if you go to Swiffer.com and register they will send you some coupons of which one should be $5.00 off the swiffer vac.
I have a Shark Multi-vac and I really like it.  I have hardwood floors with area rugs and I find the Shark is very lightweight yet pulls the tumbleweeds from the corners and edges.  I rarely use the extension hose because it has really good side suction.  My dogs don't shed much but there are still tumbleweeds that accumulate.
So happy I'm not alone on this!
Cooper doesnt shed but my 3 cats do (one in particular is terrible). Our vac died a while back and I use our land ladies vac (its kept in the laundry room and I doubt she even knows as she has a cleaning lady). Its a shark and is really powerful, but its super heavy and have back and wrist injuries so only use it once a week for the carpet in the 2 bedrooms. I sweep our lounge and kitchen (laminate and lino) every couple of days and get tons of dust bunnies, I can sweep 3 times a day and still get more fluff..... I really need something small, portable, but good!
I know right? It's like these things hide on you until you are done and then sneak back up on you laughing as I'm pulling my own hair out to add to the pile. It has to have suction and be light and have no scratch wheels.
I have looked at that, I was wondering how it worked! I have a liitle Shark vacuum, rechargeable, that I use for the tumbleweeds but I don't like it much, it doesn't work that great. I don't want to lug out my big Dyson for the attachments. If you like it let me know, that seems like a great price to. My Shark was $70 I think........
It's a very good price, also at Target for 49.99 I read all the reviews on the Target site and they were all good!
I have a Hoover nano--a very lightweight vacuum that has the turbo suction and is very good. I use it often as i groom dogs in my house and it does a good job. It is easy to pull the suction hose off to use it for small areas, too. I got it at Walmart for about $60. It works on rugs (has a revolving brush) and wood floors. My floors are pine and are over 200 years old, so I have PLENTY of scratches!! There are even some oil stains from the 1960's when the place was rented and some young men fixed their motorcycles in the house!
NICE MEN!!! We just got back from Walmart and I totally forget to check the options there. Thanks!
Thanks! I'm about to order it!!!!

Tumbleweeds!

This is one area my newness to Doodles doesn't matter. I have two long-hair cats, and now a doodle. Every day I find tumbleweeds of cat fur, like you. I also have full laminate through my house. I used to have a larger vac, similar to this one, but I found that I didn't use it as often as I should because of dragging it out of a closet. Instead, I learned quickly that in my life, the easiest thing is to have something quick and accessible. I bought a rechargeable hand-vac (mine is a black and decker with extendable nose, on sale at target for a similar price as yours).

This was the BEST thing I ever did. Tumbleweeds can be cleaned up quickly without have to drag something out and it doesn't scratch the floor. I have it mounted to the wall near my kitchen. I save the swiffers for every other week (okay, once a month).

Thanks I'll check that one too!
