How BIG???

so I am new to DK and am wondering if anyone could give me some insight as to the size my doodle will grow to be?! Riley is a 5 1/2 month old Goldendoodle and currently weighs 53lbs. He weighed 26lbs at 12 weeks which is when we got him. I am really more curious than anything and in due time will find out for myself..I was just wondering if anyone out there with an adult doodle who was comparable with age and weight could give me some insight? He will be be cherished regardless of his size:)

The preferred formula is the weight at 16 weeks, x2, then add up to 10 lbs. Judging by the fact that your pup was already 26lbs at 12 weeks, he's gonna be big. :-)

 

So Darwin was 25lbs at 16 weeks, x2 is 50, add up to 10 lbs would equal 60lbs. He's 63-64 so pretty accurate.

That's actually what Knox weighs!  26.5 lbs at 16 weeks, and now at 18 months, he's 63 pounds!

I'd say in the 80 lb range.  My Rosco seemed to weigh in at 10 lbs per month until he turned 8 months old (80 lbs) at which point he slowed down and held his weight between 80-85 lbs for a while.  At 4 years he was in the low 90's (a tad chunky for his build).

Gonna be a BIG boy like Murphy.

Murphy was 21 lbs at 12 weeks. He was 42 lbs at 16 wks, and 60 lbs at 6 months.

He now weighs in at 99 lbs.

Wow, Linda, your Murphy doubled his weight in 4 weeks?  That is amazing. The formula for 16 weeks worked pretty well for him then,

I think big like Peri's boyfriend Astro.  Yvonne N. is on DK and is Astro's mom...she may remember his weight at that age. All I can remember is when Peri was 10 weeks, Astro was 11 weeks and at least double her size (Peri was a mini and probably weighed 9ish pounds).

Okay found it. Astro at 12 weeks was 23.2 pounds. At 21 weeks he was 55.5 pounds. He is now 84.

[Nancy, Ned, Clancy, and Charlie]

The minis do not follow the formula.  They quit growing at about 8 months.
