Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum

We are waiting for the litter to be born.  I feel like a stalker on here several times a day and on the breeders website.  :)  I'm sure she thinks I am nuts and don't have anything better to do with my time, with all of my follow up emails.  LOL  We are hoping for a large, curly, blonde to red male.  Our 15 year old was like "mom you act like you are having a baby, reading everything and looking at all the dog stuff".  It doesn't hurt to be prepared does it?!? :-)  I'm too excited and I can't wait.

Mimi   Have a great time today with the puppies....
I feel fortunate. Most of my time was spent locating a breeder that took a couple of months of research. Once I found the breeder I wanted. She had puppies - two weeks old at the time (5 now) so I only have 3 more weeks to wait - and that seems like forever. I have the mom and dad's pictures down loaded on my computer along with the puppy pictures (the puppy's have not yet been allocated) so i have a family album. I do feel like a nut. Plane ticket to get the puppy and puppy nursery is all set. Have had a discussion with the other dogs about their new brother and puppy proofing is just about done.
Mine is coming home in almost 3 weeks too! July 26 to be exact. And I am flying down to pick her up. What airline are you taking. I've got Southwest. It's only 1 1/2 flight so shouldn't be too bad.

I'm flying on SW also - on the 30th - It's a 4 hour flight - one hour is a stop over. Hopefully a puppy pad potty break in the ladies room! I am soooo glad that SW now allows dogs in the cabin.

Gayle! I am so excited for you! Can't wait to hear all about it.
Thanks Julie!  My hubby just went to home depot to get some inexpensive lanolium so we can cut it to the size of the pen that will also accommodate a small crate tht should give him a month or so before graduating to a larger crate.  I'm hoping to avoid accidents on the hardwood floors in the kitchen and I think the pen should work when I don't have all eyes glued to him.  I  just bought a 30 pound bag of Acana Wild Prarie (that my breeder has them on) today and carrying that inside made the reality of having a dog in our lives again REAL!  All our friends here at home are so excited for us and I plan to have a rotatng door here at home for the next several weeks to begin the ever-so-important socializatilon.  Such a fun and exciting time and you're right behind me!
Gayle, this is such a good idea! I have hardwood floors in the kitchen area of my home where my puppy's crate will be, and probably a larger ex-pen type setup that the crate will open up into. I like the idea of getting linoleum to put down over the wood to help protect the floor! Genius.
Good luck sleeping tonight.  Cant wait for photos.
It's a girl... we chose Lucy to be our Lilly. She is the one that we picked be her picture at two weeks and again at four weeks. When we got there, I sat back and let my husband hold the puppies and choose. I was in heaven, they had puppies and a baby (5 months old) I am a sucker for both. Lucy/Lilly was one of the five females. We elimated the one that was too busy and the one the was too timid. That left three. Two whined a great deal when not being held. Lucy/Lilly was fine and when scott held her, she was the only one that didn't shake..probably because she was the 6 year old's fav and she carries her around all the time.. We will go get Lilly on the last Friday of July. www.muellerpups.com  check out lucy- goldendoodle..she is ours..
Isn't that the best feeling when you have made your decision and you have a real puppy you know will be yours?
yes..I can hardly wait..
Mimi, your Lucy/Lilly is so cute!  They are all darling
