The Gardens Of Martha's Vineyard

We just spent a few days on Martha's Vineyard. The gardens were absolutely spectacular, and I wanted to share them with our DK "garden lovers". Here goes...

The house above is the Emily Post House. This is just part of the front garden which appears each year in the Fall in Better Homes And Gardens Magazine.

All the streets are lined with white picket fences, roses, and rhododendrons.

This is the front of Meg Ryan's house....

Not really a garden photo, but it was a painting in a store window that I couldn't resist.

The window boxes were truly amazing.

The beach roses were literally EVERYWHERE!

Many celebrities with Summer homes on the Island build their homes way back from the road. They can't use signs with their names so they use "symbols" to let people they know where their driveway is. Here's one that belongs to the owner of Neiman Marcus.

Not really a garden picture either, but I loved the beauty and precision of this nest.

How beautiful Jane.....I especially love the hydrangea (a personal favorite) over the white fence. MV is one of the prettiest places I know.

Thank you, thank you. What a nice easy way to see beautiful gardens.The scenes are all lovely. One of my favorite things about other people's gardens is that I don't have to weed or worry about anything : ) You reminded me I went to one recently and I haven't even looked at the pictures. Love the duck and beach rose.

Thank you Jane these are beautiful. Martha's Vineyard is a beautiful spot. We have a place in Orleans on the Cape and it is so pretty driving through all the towns with all the hydrangea's. Love your shot.

Wow wow wow! I have never been to Martha's Vineyard. The flowers are awesome. I love the hydrangeas and roses growing together. Thanks so much for sharing.
