I've never seen this discussed before on DK so I thought I'd share my bathing set up. I've got a spare bathroom tub enclosure set up with the Texas Bowser Blaster. No, its NOT a product you buy! Its a simple set up using parts purchased at a home improvement store for under $50. My husband installed it in about 5 minutes and it works wonderfully. I'm not the technical wizard and my DH isn't here at the moment to pick his brain, but basically its a connection from the water source (in our case the shower head, which we replaced with a threaded spigot), a 10' coiled garden hose (makes it real easy to keep out of the way while bathing the dog), a hand held garden sprayer with multiple spray options, 2 Ortho Dial n Spray sprayer bottles (1 for shampoo, 1 for conditioner), and quick release hose attachments at the other end of the coiled hose as well as on garden sprayer and Ortho bottles). First, I simply turn on the bath faucet, adjust water temp, use the garden sprayer set to 'shower' and rinse, then turn off faucet. Next, I use the quick release to change the hose to the shampoo Ortho bottle (dilute shampoo with water in Ortho bottle first) adjust dial to preferred amount of product to be dispensed, turn faucet back on, and thoroughly spray dog with shampoo dilution. I usually let Lucy sit for a couple minutes before proceeding, as it helps to loosen dirt and debris. No need to scrub, as the spraying action does it automatically. Then again with the garden sprayer to rinse, change out to conditioner Ortho bottle (again, diluted), and garden sprayer for final rinse. Here's pics of our set up (btw, the glass enclosure is great for containing that inevitable 'shake off' after the bath is completed.) FYI, the spigot/hose pic was taken looking up at it from a standing position.

Debb, are those Ortho dial in spray bottles at Home Depot or Lowes as well? I am going to get my DH all excited about this.

Daisy, we got ours at Home Depot, but Lowes may have them as well. Problem about getting this stuff now is many places haven't geared up for the Spring gardening season and the selection may not be as good as it will be in a couple more months. Our local Home Depot stays pretty well stocked through the winter months though (although the 10' coiled garden hose couldn't be found there... I think we found it at Ace Hardware or someplace else like that). Of course, you can always find all these supplies online year round.

Thanks Debb, I have yet to show DH - it's freezing and snowing here and I DON"T WANT TO GO OUT - ha ha.
AWESOME!
That's brilliant!
