Spend a whole day on DK? And admit it.....

Does anyone else out there spend a whole day on Doodlekisses and think of it as a great day??? Or how about look forward all week to Yappy Hour and want to kick yourself because you are just too busy to get to it or remember it on Sat.morning?

I have been sitting here since since about 10:00 am, and it's now 3:30pm and I am as content as can be doing nothing but reading the forum.  I have so few days to just do nothing, or anything I want, and I chose to spend this one day here. And what's even wierder, is that I am starting to feel less and less guilty about it.

My doodles are at my feet and I can rub their bellies, talk to them and actually have them look at me and pay attention, (not everyone does that to me around my house). We are all very content and cozy today. And if I sit here another hour and a half, I'll be right on time for Yappy Hour.

Please tell me I'm not alone and that I must need to get MORE of a life!  That some of you HDA's and HDA's- to-be can do the same thing.....Hello, anyone else out there....????

Seems like there is so much to catch up on if I don't check in several times a day. Like this week. I think I'm good for awhile and then Laurie comes up with another outrageous blog that I have to read from beginning to end!!!

If I am not working or making dinner then I am at least on here checking to see what's new.  I love DK and I could easily spend all day on it if my kids were older and a little more self sufficient.  Someday...

There is so much you can learn just from reading the old posts especially when you have a new puppy in the house. I have my 2 yr old grandson for sleep-overs some nights when I am off and I can't get to DK for those days so I completely understand.

Let's see...on weekday work mornings, I get up, go potty (hey, my first priority) and THEN open DK.  I drink coffee and read until I finally look at the time and realize I now have to RACE to get ready so I can get to work on time.  Then, when I come home from work, the first thing I do is get Rua out of her crate and the 2nd is start up my computer.

 

Non-work days are not interrupted by work in between.  So, if I am home, DK is up and I am on/off it all the time.  Many times I am just lurking...trying to read through all of the email messages and barely get a chance to get to the main page to read any new stuff and I usually run out of time to start any new discussions or blogs.

 

I don't need to get MORE out of my life, that is for sure.  Right now, Rua is snoozing on the wood floor right outside of my office door.  Life is great!

I could NEVER open it before work or I would be SOOO late everyday. I just got home from work and besides putting on the bathing suit, letting dogs out, the first thing I do is turn on the computer and check in with you guys.

Since I'm on GMT I never know who is up or what time of the day it is for you guys.  I dip in and out of DK all through the day when I'm working  and certainly in the evening when my partner is happily watching sport.  He's been playing a golf competition all day today and before he went he kisses Riley  who licked him and I heard him say "so this is a Doodle Kiss!!!"

I never even thought about talking to you guys...must try that sometime.  Perhaps we could do some sort of Skype conference sometime and then we could see the Doodles and each other too?  How about a virtual Christmas party, just a thought.

I actually think this is a fantastic idea. How many people can log onto Skype at one time? Wouldn't Yappy hour be so fun if we could all see eachother and what all our doodles are up to???

I have a Skype account (never tried it though) and my little netbook has a cam!  That would be so awsome.
