When did your doodle stop growing?

Was just wondering at what age your doodles got to their full size? Parker is 8 months now and at about 51lbs but he doesn't seem to be changing much anymore or it is VERY slow! He is a standard poodle and golden retriever so I was expecting him to end up bigger than 51lbs. Out of curiosity what are the average size on DK for the standard F1's and when did they reach their adult size?

I agree with Karen with variation & you can't judge by the parents.  My sister's doodle & my doodle's parents were almost identical in size.  Lexie weighs 51 lbs, Gunner weighs 86 lbs, so you can never tell.  After 10 months, I wouldn't expect any major growth spurts, maybe an additional few,however, they should be fully grown by 1 1/2-2 years old.

Katie, We are still waiting for Vern to stop. He will be two in January. I think he will top out at 100 pounds :) Pray for us..LOL!

haha! I think we were expecting Parker to be more like Vern's size though so I am kind of disappointed he is so petite! lol and his daddy keeps calling him girly now! My poor boy! haha

LOL!  My fiance is the same way.  He grew up with St Bernards an Great Danes, so he was hoping for an 80 pound Goldendoodle.  Bentley is 26 pounds at 4 months and we just don't see him getting that large.  He now calls him a runt.  Men! haha

mine is 38.5 pounds at 8.5 months. The breeder said she'd be almost 60lbs full grown but I just don't see that happening. I'm hoping she won't get much beyond 45, but who knows, these things seem hard to predict.

Thanks! He is a handsome boy! Though I am disappointed in his grooming in this picture! I preferred his shaggy face before and I don't think he looks the same now that he was groomed this week! Kind of scared to get him groomed again!

Thanks! We ended up going to Petco because the one place in Mahwah that was recommended to me by a friend took 4 days to call me back and then told me they were booked for two weeks anyway. Not sure if it is Petco or if any groomer would have done the same but his face is all choppy and uneven and so is his tummy area too! Not sure if they just stink or if he was squirming too much! I just preferred my shaggy face doodle and I didn't like the unevenness of the haircut...nor did I like the poodle poof they made on top of his head! lol! I am very picky when it comes to my boy! He just looks so different!

Both of mine stopped growing around a year.  Lucy is two and topped out at 50 lbs, and Ethel is a year old and is now 55 lbs.  Both standard goldendoodles.

I was wondering the same.  Trix is expected to be 45lbs (she's a small standard - her mom is 55lbs and her dad is 45lbs).  However, she has been 25lbs for about a month now (she's 6 months old).  I'm hoping a growth spurt happens soon as I was hoping she would surpass her expected weight!
