I just don't understand how everyone but me has so much time to be on DK? And to play games!!!

I barely have time to read all the interesting posts, let alone participate in the games that keep popping up. I just don't get it.

I only work 32 hours a week, I have no young children, I hardly cook meals, I have the usual cleaning, shopping and doodle maintence, so how is it I see so many here for hours and hours playing games?

What am I doing wrong? How do you do it? Do you have a little computer you carry everywhere with you? Do you have a beep or sound to alert you when a new post is made so you are notified right away? I must be missing something....

So that's the trick to still getting stuff done at night! Actually taking a break from DK!!! Let's see, it's 10:00 CDT, and I have been off work since 5:00 CDT, and maybe one of the last five hours I haven't been on DK? I need a DK anonymous group or something. :-)
Yup, I have often thought we needed a DK Recovery Program. We can just use one step: "We admitted we were powerless over our addiction - that our lives had become unmanageable". We could be our own little support group and have meetings once a week. Oh, that;s right, we DO have meetings once a week. Friday night Yappy Hour.
Now that I think about it, who would we get for our sponsors???? We are all addicts!!!!

I think we are hopeless. Who would sponsor all these addicts?

Ok, let's start a DKRP. God, grant us the serenity to accept the things we cannot change (being addicted to DK), the courage to change the things we can (we attempted to change it, but realized we were powerless, and isn't admitting you have a problem the first step? See? This sounds healthy already!), and the wisdom to know the difference (enough said). There. I feel better.
truth is I go in spurts. I get obssessed for a while, then I realize the rest of my life is being neglected, get overwhelmed and then take a break for a while, only to get right back in the swing of things when something interesting happens doodle-wise that I just have to post, and then the cycle continues...
Yes, that's what it feels like, I have to neglect the rest of my life to be on here as much as I would like. There has to be a better way. Maybe a little tiny computer I can wear around my neck and it will read the posts into a tiny little headset I can hide in my ear while I do everything else. Hey, Adina, can you design that for the DoodleKisses Store? Or does Amazon have one yet? Where's Bill Gates when you need him?
I've missed entire meals because of DK. Not cooking them....eating them. I look at the clock, and it's 7:30 or 8pm, and I feel like someone came into my house and zapped me with some sort of time traveling wand. DH could be having an entire conversation with me, and respond with the occasional grunt or "mm hm" LOL. You guys are all just too funny to miss!

Oh yes, and then you add friday nite Yappy Hour and how frustrating it is to not be able to get to that and I start having a hissy fit like a 2 yr old. We've been out for a nice dinner and I realize it's friday, and an hour into Yappy Hour and I feel like my whole night is a waste.

DH wants to go away this weekend and the first thing I think of is if I will have internet service getting there and during our stay. After I think about whether or not we are taking 0 or 1 or 2 doodles that is.

That IS a serious problem. I hope you can work it out....that would ruin a weekend for sure!
Yup, been there, done that!
I was on here all of the time because I worked very little and basically just had a few classes. Now I'm a bit more busy and I'm feeling very "poor me" because I can only get on 3 or 4 times per day. LOL!
