The trapper is pointing to "our" gator - yes they got him!!!!!!  Sad to say he is going to be killed but all the parts are sold and used for something - nothing goes to waste.  The money is put into a fund to provide education and other gator type programs.  He was 6 ft 9 in.  Na na na naaaaa, hey hey hey good bye!!!!  They had a busy day - he was #3.

As you will notice they have their jaws taped shut but I was NOT sticking my hand in there - lol.  OMG - I am so relieved!!!
What a relief.  So glad they got him.
I wonder why they cannot release him to a gator park or something.
too bad they have to be killed, but at least your 2 pups can now play without you having to worry about either one becoming a gator snack!!  What are the chances that more gators will end up in your pond?  Are you home free now or do you have to worry about more showing up later?
Not sad because he probably would come back to your area and the point is for you or Rooney or Stuart NOT to be dinner.
This is great news!  He does look pretty frightening....those eyes creep me out.  I would still push for a fence though if I were you.  This whole gator thing is way too unnerving.
What a relief, Jane! I hope you can tell your neighbors (maybe through the HOA?) to stop feeding the gators, which I believe is also illegal.

Why the heck are these things "protected"? Clearly there isn't any shortage, three of them in one area in one morning?

Glad he's gone. I would now ask your homeowners' association to issue a message to all residents regarding not feeding these things.

And again I'll ask, why in the world would anyone feed alligators????????

I read on line today that they are protected because they resemble the endangered American crocodile.  I guess that anyone with a gun or what ever might not know the difference or care and shoot the endangered crocodile thinking it was an alligator
PHEW!!!
I think my neighbours feeding feral cats who are full of diseases which is driving me mad is small fry compared to those babies.  What a relief to know they got the Gator.
Did they catch him today as a result of your phone call?  Were the other two also caught in your area?  Did you actually see them catch him?  I just want to be sure he is YOUR gator!!!  I also would still push for the fence through legal action.  I have this theory about everything coming in twos but since there are three my other theory is...if there is one more will come!  Geesh, I could never live near these guys.  I would not be able to sleep at night and dream about snapping jaws!
