Do many people on the DK site have pet insurance for their Doodle?

I am thinking about getting this for Lily.

Lots of us have it - I have Pet Plan

Hopefully I don't need it but for $150 a year it sure is peace of mind. The sooner you get it the less expensive it is....though I think it goes up a little each year. It automatically gets debited from my account every quarter.

I have VPI Major Medical

We have Petplan plus also. Went with the gold plan. They have several options. Do a search and you'll find several discussions on insurance.
We have PetPlan for Rua.  Gold plan, $20K max annual vet fees, $100 ded, 0% copay regular treatment, 20% on specialized.  It was $262.
Yes, I have Pet Plan.  They have been great to deal with, and I love the security of knowing I have insurance for my guys.
Yes, I have it for Riley it was one of the things I did immediately I got him.  It's important to get one with whole of life cover so if there is an on going problem it will be covered for the whole of the dogs life, this costs a little more.  A vet once said "If you have to worry about whether you can afford the insurance you sure as heck won't be able to afford vet fees" (or something to that effect) which has stuck in my mind.
Absolutely get it. I am sure there are many good plans out there but I have VPI for both my dogs. It has paid for itself ten times over. Recently, my boy had a bout of pancreatitis..four days on IV fluids in the hospital and let's us not forget all the blood tests. Anyway nearly $2,000 later his insurance plan paid out $800. Obviously, it would have been good if they had covered the entire amount but I have one of the cheapest plans and only pay $24.00 per month. Pet insurance is an investment and a security blanket.
I havePPet Plan - I got it the week he came home. After reading about all the expenses that folks have dealt with and my previous history of vet care with my Frenchies I decided to have Zach covered before ANYTHING developed.
I have Pet Plan for my five year old doodle.  Just got it this year after putting it off.  Also, I got Pet Plan for my daughter's dog as an early Christmas gift for her.  She has a puppy.  I got her the $200 deductible that pays 100%, the silver plan.  Being on a limited budget, this way she has the peace of mind knowing that if her little girl gets sick or has an accident the most she will have to pay is the $200.
ive been wondering the same thing... i guess petplan is a popular choice?? You go through certain vets to get on it?

Also question...

Would I pay the entire bill and the insurance would reimburse me? Or would I just pay the deductible at the vet office???

It also says that spaying is not covered...?

Pet Plan and I think most other pet insurances have websites that you can go to for a description of the coverages and an estimate of your premiums.  We signed up online through the website, although I called them first and got a copy of the actual policy e-mailed to me to review before signing up.  It also gave me a feel for their customer service to call and talk to them first.  There is a website call petinsurancereview.com that has some good information on different companies and plans.

And yes, spaying is not covered in ours (and I think most from what I remember).

The way Pet Plan works, and I think all of them, is that you pay and then are reimbursed for the covered charges.  We have not had to file a claim yet but my daughter will be filing one on Monday for her puppy's intestinal bacterial infection.  The others here on DK who have it have said that reimbursement is very quick.
