ARIZONA DOODLE ROMPS 2011 RESUME

Hi all, it's time to start up our monthly romps in Chandler. We will meet on the following Sat.'s. We will meet at 8:00am in Oct and talk then about if we want to meet later in November as it is colder in the mornings.

Oct 8th,

Nov. 19th

Dec. 3rd

These are days I am off and can attend, but if anyone would like to schedule additional romps that would be great too.

The Paseo Vista Recreation Park is on the corner of McQueen and Ocotillo Rd. in Chandler.

The entrance is on McQueen however. There are 2 parks, with water, but I usually bring a small cooler for our dogs.

Hi guys, 

 

I was just wondering if anyone is welcome at these? Fen is 5 months old, and great with other dogs. I'd love to come to the romp on the 8th. I'm not far from Chandler.

ABSOLUTELY!!! And a DK member is especially welcome. I started this on Meet-up.com about 2 yrs ago and very few people were on DK yet, but the word has spread and we get people from the community and DK members also. Someone on DK in Tucson area might be coming up and we have had Nancy and Ned come to one from California. Please come. Love to meet you. we have one more Fenway, but he won;t be at this romp. I am sure they will be at the Oct one though as they are 2 of the original rompers!!!

I can't believe I didn;t write the time. Oh well, will have to edit. We will meet at 8:00am and we usually stay at least one hour. Sometimes more, depending on the amount of people who show up, and how hot it is. A few of us bring little coolers with water so our dogs aren't drinking out of the public fountain.

I don't know why I had it in my head that it was at 9:00.  Glad I checked in.  We may not make this one then, as we would have to leave the house at 6:30 instead of 7:30.  Getting up on the weekend as early as I get up for work all week, would be hard.

 

Plus, my DH thought we were leaving at 7:30, so I'm not sure how well 6:30 would go over.  We'll see.

totally understandable Jane, We will be meeting later as it gets colder. and I will keep the group updated. Probably start at 9:00 in Nov. and get to 10:00 by Jan. as we have in other years.

Hey guys, won't be able to make it for fen's first romp tomorrow after all - I'm still not quite sure she's ready, and I had a horrendous work week (sleep is needed). :)

 

 

PS - the bandanas are definitely cute despite the models' reaction :)

Is Nov. 19th at 8am?  If so, we will def be there!  :)  If it's at 9am, maybe I can talk my husband into bringing Cali on his own, but I will be off to breakfast and dress shopping with my future sis-in-law!  :)  Hope to see you all again soon this fall/winter!

Well, I think this is a case of "you can't please all the people all of the time" . What would everyone suggest?
We can keep the time loose and say 8-10 am and whenever you can make it will be fine. I won't take our group picture until 9:30ish so we get as many as we can. Does that work for everyone ? It's more a weather thing than time, it can still be pretty cool at 8 but I don't mind going then.

Any suggestions?
