Today, I was thinking.  My poor Bailey has so many loving names, I wonder if she knows it.  Sometimes we call her just "Dood".  Other times I call her "Doodlebreath", "Baby", "Girlfriend", or Bailey, Bailey, Bailey.

She always turns her head when I don't use her "Legal Name", but then I wonder if she just knows the sound of my voice.

I thought it would be fun to hear from all of you:  Do you have loving names for your Doodles?  If so, what are they?

exactly!!! Except Lola actually has pink feathers, but that's okay!!

Love it Sue...

She must look Beautiful with her pink feathers!!

Does she dance with you and DH??

I can just see it now...pink feathers...and a pink tutu!!  Lol...

Since Sasha got her "swimming in the lake all summer" cut...she looks less Doodley and a bit more Poodley...but very femmine and girly...and after her grooming they put pink bows on her!

She looked quite the beauty!

I really liked it!!  (smile)

I just love my girl...as you do yours...

Shhhhhhhhhh...don't tell...but I sing to Sasha too!

I think she's the only one that appreciates my singing...now that the kids are grown!!  Lol...

By the way...I love the name Lola...and she's quite the Beauty!

I refer to Rooney & Stuart as "the boys" even though I have 2 sons.  Stuart is called Baby Stuart, Stu or Knuckle (for knuckle head) and Rooney is called Roo, Roon E Doodle or Roonster.
Oh how funny! One person I know with 4 dogs(2 huskeys, 1 American eskimo, and a pom) has a chubby-ish pom. One day she went to the vet with her, and they weighed her. After the vet weighed her she left the room, and the owner could hear the vet tell the nurses "we have a 14 lbs pom in room 3." So funny!
Beatrix, Trix, Boopsie, Mooper, Doodle-bot, Trixi-doodle-bear, Bear, Bea (there is more, sadly)

To those who sing to their doodles - I'm also guilty of this. I have a small, yet embarrassing little repertoire haha

Tiny (this is a favorite of DH and myself), Bug (or Luna Bug or Buggles), Crazy, Little one, Four paws, Stick Lady (when she is obsessing over sticks on walks)

HA! These are hilarious and sweet and such a testimony to how much we all love our doodles!!

Tara's love names are changing all the time too! Currently: Doodlegirl, The kid,  the Bug, and Chickapee which has evolved into a song based on the old 4 Tops song "I Can't Help Myself" (Sugar Pie Honey Bunch)

Except my version is "Chickapee Honey Dood...you know that I LOVE you!! I can't help myself..." Well you get the idea! LOL!! It's silly and fun!

Ohhhh...I like that Ricki...

Always liked that song!

Next stop...American Idol!!  Lol...

Not likely, Susan! Thanks for the thought though...:)
I always as I am smooch talkin  and women handling my dude say" OMG someone needs to call Doodle Control because I just don't love this Doodle nearly enough!!" MY DD who is 6 started crying the first time I said this, she didn't want them to come and take Amante away!!! LOL Like ever!!! Now she says it too!!
This is so cute.  Little kids take everything so literally.  Ah the innocence!  We had a nice young trainer who Gavin used to love on at the beginning of every class.  She would say "Oh poor Gavin, you obviously are not getting pet enough!"
We've taken to calling him Little Mister more often than Banjo.....not sure how that started....also Cozy, Snuffleuffagus (sp?), Fluffernutter, Banjolina (when he's acting high and mighty).
