Rosie was spayed a week ago tomorrow.  She still isn't herself!  Anyone else have issues after their dog was spayed?  Rosie is 7 months old.

Just wondering is we have any update on how Rosie is doing?

Poor thing...for both of you.

Bailey was spayed about 4 weeks ago.  Within a day she was back to her old self.  We had to "try" to keep her calm.  As everyone said here.  Trust you gut..and get her into the vet.  You know her better than anyone....

If she isn't eating well, make sure she is at least getting enough fluids so she doesn't become dehydrated..

Keep us posted!!

2nd opinion sounds good t me, but I'd take her in for sure!!! I hope she's not in a lot of pain, good luck.
Just watching this thread and hoping that you have a better opinion and treatment very soon.  It sounds like Rosie is in pain.  She should be much better, in  fact completely over the whole operation by now.  I do hope you have good news very soon.
I have great news to report!  I think Rosie is on the mend!  She actually came to the kitchen to eat this morning, this is the first time in a week.  She also got her toy to play and got excited when people came to the door!  WOOOO  HOOOO!  I was so worried that I was going to lose her.  It seems the antibiotics, and prayers are working!  She did have a lot of drainage from the site yesterday.  Was most likely an infection.
I am so glad to hear your good news.
That IS good news!  I'm thinking that if it were me - I'd be checking into some other vets.  I might be a crazy doodle momma but no matter what - my vet or her staff never treats my concerns lightly.  She even calls me herself to check on them if there has been any problem.  And it sure sounds like an infection with her rebounding once on the amtibiotics - and infections can happen BUT they should have listened to you the 1st time you took her back.   Just my humble opinion.
I agree ... no Vet should ever make you feel like you are being a pest.  They should always listen to your concerns!  Better safe than sorry!

I agree with Jane and Lucy & Sophies mom about the vet.  I have switched vets before back when my chihuahua got very sick and almost died and they kept telling me not to worry.  They never called to check on him, etc...My new vet takes everything seriously and is so caring.  She calls me personally to check up after lab tests, diet changes, etc..

But on a great note, I AM SO HAPPY ROSIE IS BETTER!!!! Peri was a madwoman 2 days after her surgery, so when you said how Rosie was acting, I just had a hunch something was wrong.

Great news....thanks for the update.

I agree with the last few posts...I would look into another vet.

I am Very Glad she seems to be doing a bit better today!! I hope that continues & in 2 days she is back to herself

So happy to hear the Rosie is feeling better - sounds like she'll be doing the doodle dance again real soon!
