I have my dogs on a pretty good schedule. Almost every afternoon, we go for a walk up at the park. Yesterday, we went out in the morning and just when we were about home, my tire light came on again. I knew we were stranded at the house, so in the afternoon I took them for a quick walk in the field that runs next to our yard. Apparently, Fudge did not get the memo that we would not be driving any place else for our afternoon walk. I don't remember why my car door was open, but whenever I checked on the dogs, Fudge was sitting in the car just waiting for us to leave. When I went to get the camera, of course, Vern had to jump in too, to make sure he was not being left at home alone or missing out on anything.

We are ready to go:

Maybe if I look right at her, she will know I am serious:

Let's Get this Show on the Road:

By now, Vern deserted the ship. He is a mover and a shaker and this was taking way too long. Fudge remains patient:

Hey Lady.....Get the keys, already!!!

I bet she sat in that van waiting for over an hour. She was not impressed when I told her I had things to do and we were not going for a walk. The good news was I knew she was not digging in the yard. I think I will leave my van open more often. Do you have a very patient dog too?

P.S.   Please excuse the messy car. I could make some lame excuse, but this is how it usually looks with two dogs in it every day!

Cooper is very patient.  He will set his ball down next to me and then wait and wait and wait and wait.............all the while just staring at the ball.  Doesn't matter how long it takes for someone to throw it, he'll just wait.  It's pretty funny.

Messy car?  What messy car?  Cooper and my daughter keep mine looking like I'm a homeless person living out of it.  Oh dang it!  I forgot my husband's car is in the shop and I have to take him to work this morning.  I have to clean off the front seat of my car so he has somewhere to sit. Gotta go!

Jennifer, I always ask my DH to trade cars, if I have to take anybody else somewhere. My van is embarrassing:) Awww....Cooper is a good boy. All good things come to those who wait, right??

This is us on the way to the cottage.  We stopped at a farm market on the way and Gavin waited....

And waited...

And waited some more...

He patience paid off, as we picked up a nice smoked marrow bone for him while we were there.

Gavin looks perfect in the back seat so funny!!!! He's a cutie!
Gavin, I swear that is Vern looking out the window. You are so darn cute AND your patience paid off in the end :)
They look like twins really.
what smart doodles...working so hard to keep you on schedule!  I bet you could have hitched them up to your van and they would have happily towed you off to the park for their walk.  Getting home may have been a bit of a problem though!
Amy, What a great idea! I bet they could pull the van a long way....LOL!!
So cute that Fudge waited. Vern has places to go and holes to dig!
Murphy would I'm sure but Bella? Haha, makes me laugh , ( or cringe) to think of what she would be doing in my car for an hour. I can hear her little brain wheels turning now: " Leather? do I smell leather? There must be a cow hiding in these seats somewhere and I'm gonna find her for my mommy and get her out of here. Mommy will be so proud of me for getting that big ol leather smelling cow out of her seats. Oh wait, the cow has springs and some foam stuff all over it. Stupid cow is really hiding in this metal frame. Oh well, maybe the cow is in the front seat! " . Hope she wasn't referring to ME!
LOL   If I had leather seats, I might be more protective of my smelly, gross, almost 200,000 miles van. Those dogs are in that van every single day, so it is a lost cause, but we have fun :)

If Chloe gets wind of anything about going somewhere she will sit with her rear totally against the door to make sure she's going for sure! She will sit down there and listen to our movements and tilt her head and stuff. Too funny.

Now Fudge is one patient girl I almost felt bad for her. She knows your schedule for sure! Loved the pictures, she's like I'm ready let's go where are you? Loved it!

Thanks, Jennifer. She puts a little pressure on me some days. At some point, they both just know it is walk time.
