I saw this this morning and wanted to cry. I adore elephants just as much as I love doodles. They are incredibly intelligent, emotional and beautiful animals. I have been wanting to blog about my time with elephants in Thailand and Nepal a few years ago, maybe I'll get around to it one day soon...

Oh, so sad. I remember hearing about this some time ago and being so moved by how the elephant would come visit the dog every day when she was recuperating from a back injury. Elephants are remarkable animals.

I just had to share this with all my friends, what a wonderful story.  I once rescued a sheep and a donkey that were best friends and inseparable.  They had to be homed together and lived alongside each other in a sanctuary for many years.  This story reminds me of them.
