Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum
There was a recent discussion that brought out some strong opinions and although not everyone had the same opinion the discussion was civil and friendly.
Unfortunately the person who started the discussion did not like some of what was discussed, so she decided to leave DK and strip her comments out of the discussion. ****UPDATE - AS OF 10 am EST the whole discussion has been removed****
There are times that we don't all agree and that is OK - I respect all of the DK family and try to treat all with the same respect that I would like from them.
We all come here as a community, to share and help each other. There are "hot" issues about our Doodles and a healthy and lively discussion follows. We can each learn from one another.
I encourage everyone to voice their opinions.

I couldn't agree with you more. I have often read discussions where someone has asked for opinions or advice and has been treated very disrespectfully. I think we need to keep in mind that when someone is asking for information about a certain "hot" subject that they might not have made up their mind. We need to stick with the facts and if you are emotional to make sure that you are voicing your opinion in an appropriate manner. I have thought to myself many times that if it was me asking for advice and I had received some of the nasty, insensitive and out right mean comments that some have posted I would have told you exactly what you can do with your nasty opinion and rudeness.
While I may not have agreed with this particular members idea and the questions being asked still does not give me the right to be outright rude. As with children I think that sometimes the more you say "no you are wrong" the more they think "I will show you" and make a decision based on anger or revenge.
I have re-read the discussion (available by using google and the cache feature) and there were no nasty or disrespectful responses except for one. That one was by the original poster directed towards a respected member, who has a rescued Doodle. That response accused this member of being "bitter".
The reason for my posting THIS discussion is that I am very proud of the DK community and how they handled the discussion. I remember when discussions like that were not handled in as a respectful manner.
This is a kinder and gentler DK
