What are you buying your doodle for the holidays?

Jack is not really getting anything from me other then a food deyhdrator so I can make him home made jerky. My mom got him some toys.

 

I want to get Molly Rose Christmas Presents.. obviously not for her since she is oblivious to the holiday. I want to make it special for my mom. My mom's life has turned around totally since getting her first puppy at the age of 70. My mom has a whole reason for living now. My mom just adores her baby more then I can ever have imagined.

 

My mom being 70 has had many Christmas's and she really can and does buy what she needs wants or thinks she wants..

 

I want to do sentimental things for my mom. Do you have any ideas. I am still pretty weak and I am not near my computer so pulling up ever picture of Molly and creating something is not something I can do this year.... but what are you doing??? Do you have any ideas you can think of that I can do for my mom?

It's always difficult for me to come up with a gift for JD, since he doesn't like many treats and doesn't play with any toys other than balls. He was going to get a Tempurpedic bed for his birthday last month, but the vet bills put the kibosh on that. So I think he's getting one for Hannukah. For a dog Molly's size, it would not be such a huge expense, and could be ordered on-line.

Karen I love that idea, LOVE IT,,especially since my mom has a Tempurpedic bed herself!!!!!

 

I will tell you I am not sure which is cheaper for you but my friend has three doodles and wanted to get them Tempurpedic beds for the holidays especially the older one.  What we did was bought a twin size mattress cover made or temurpedic foam and cut it up and put it in a dog bed covered that zippered. We got several beds for around $100.00, the foam was hard to cut though!!

I'm not a DIYer, so I think I'll just get one already made, but thanks for the idea. I might attempt it if JD was a smaller dog.

Just a tip for anyone who wants to try cutting this foam....USE an electric knife...its cuts the foam perfectly to the shape you want.

Sentimentally, I'd suggest a picture of all 4 of you. There are some great pet photo frames now too. As a mom and doodle lover, I would love that. Otherwise something like a mug with Mollys picture on it that you can order online.

My two are getting replacement chew toys, nylabones, balls, some pig ears which they never get, but I will let them this christmas,

Each will get new collars, pictures with Santa and lots of lovin'

How about a gift cert for a professional photograph. There are many professional photographers that specialized in pet photos. You could also give her a gift cert to have her doodle groomed.

Cosmo really loves his woolie squirrel from Jax and Bones. He enjoys chewing on it and playing fetch with it and sleeping with it, and it is holding up really well. And it's really a cute toy!
