Hi all - I'm trying to figure out how much I should tip Ellie's daycare for the Holidays. She only goes once a week so I wasn't sure if it was okay to only tip about the cost of 1/2 a session...

There are 9 people I should be tipping but really only 5 truly take care of her when she's there.

Help!

Thanks in advance!

I am interested in hearing the replies on this. Ember goes to daycare 2x a week and they do such an amazing job. I was thinking about bringing in a large staff gift since there about 10 people that work there and I only see a few of them. Need to make a decision soon!
How about some baked goods that they can all enjoy instead of money. Seems tipping so many would get expensive. Not sure what 1/2 a session is in $ but divided among 9 seems like it would be a small gift. Everyone pretty. Uh loves Christmas cookies, don't they? Just a suggestion.

I bring in cookies to Peri's daycare and they love them.

Cookies or something else homemade might be appreciated.  This year I made some Prickly Pear (Nopales) jelly with some of the fruit that grows in this area.  Another thing I have used in the past, and a need a few for this year, are passes to the local theater.  I put two tickets in a card and leave them for the newspaper delivery person, the postman, and the garbage collectors.  Everybody like to go to the theater and it seems more appropriate than money for a tip.

Baked goods sounds like a good idea, or a gift certificate for your favourite local pizza place so that the staff can treat themselves to lunch some day.

I am not sure how to handle this situation either.  There are a lot of people working at the daycare where I leave Cooper on occasion.  I also get him groomed there and tip the groomer at each grooming.  It feels awkward to take her a gift and not take something for the daycare workers, yet I have no idea how many at any given time have taken care of Cooper.   I don't think I want to take in more baked goods.   When I picked him up last week, they had a table overflowing with them.

What would anyone think about a donation made to the local Humane Society in honor of the workers there?  Am I stretching?

We made a basket of small boxes of candy, wrapped candies, candy canes for the staff at my mom's assisted living with special gifts for only a few who directly care for her.  Perhaps this might work for doggy daycare?

Cooper goes to daycare 5 days a week and they allow me to bring him in 30 minutes before they open due to my work schedule. I try to do something special for them each holiday, as I am so appreciative of their services.  For Christmas, I got the staff "Woof" Tervis Tumblers monogrammed with their names on it and matching lids. This seemed to be a big hit! Good Luck!

I delivered cookies to the staff at Shelby's play care facility this morning!
