Hi all.  Just got Pippin back from the groomers.  Someone new who owns a doodle and who did a scissor cut.  She spent a good while with me too showing me all the mats that I didn't realize were mats so I know what to look for now!  Thought I'd post a couple of before and after pics.  Pippin's coat was about 5 inches long before the groom and I had him cut back to 2 inches.  We get out to the beach and other watery/sandy places a lot and cleaning him up afterwards is a real pain!

I think I like the short version better!  What do you think?

oh my gosh what a sweetheart!!!!!

Yep....loving the shorter look!

:D

Just took Chewie back from the groomer last week too. Also found mats on his belly and armpits that I didn't know existed (as I brush him every 2-3 days)...He coat was 5 inches, but is now at 1 inch. He looks so different now with his coat short. DH thinks that he looks very sad, but I love the short coat since it's much easier to groom/brush.

Here's his Before and After picture. (haven't cut the head/face yet)

I think Chewie looks fantastic.  I'm sure he's looking even better than the pix with his head groomed as well.  It is so much easier to keep Pippin brushed (and he tolerates brushing better too) with the short coat.  I think short is it for us!  My groomer shaved Pippin down under the arm pit area to help with matting.

It looks so great! Adorable.

I think our doodles look so much better after a little trim.

I like shorter!  I am starting to think it is time for Bexter's 1st hair cut.  He's 9 months & looks like the picture on top!  I like your second picture because he doesn't look too shaved or anything.
