Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum
Sometimes things are so funny and unexpected that you just have to share.
A few days ago my DH started a converstion with "I have to tell you what I did today and I really hope no one was watching". I was almost afraid to hear what he was going to say next. The story continued like this, " While I was at the golf course today walking with Quincy he was having problems with snowballs stuck to his paws. He had one that was really bothering him and he would stop every few steps and try to chew it off. Quincy couldn't seem to get rid of it so I tried to pick it off for him. I tried to get it off with my fingers but I couldn't get it either, so I took a quick look to make sure no one was watching and then I picked up his paw and chewed it off myself". OMD, I couldn't quite believe he had just said that, I found myself practically falling on the floor from laughing. When I finally stopped laughing I said " You know I am going to write a blog about this because it is just too funny to keep to myself". He just smiled, I think he already knew when he told me that his secret wasn't going to be so secret anymore.
Do you have funny stories of things that you have done for your doodles that would make other people say, "I can't believe you did that? If so please share your stories here, I promise not to tell, your secret is safe with me. :>)

Ha,ha,ha Donna--you'd NEVER tell....LOL There are some hilarious stories here! I can just see your DH chewing that snowball off of Quincy's foot. Well, as it's true confession time, I confess to being a blanket pimp. Trav has a faux fur blanket and it's the only thing he likes to hump, and then only if somebody holds it up so he can hug it. He drags the blanket over to me, and looks so cute and hopeful, that I just have to hold it up for him.
too funny!!
Pat, LOL, You should win a prize for most accommodating Doodlemom.
clearly!
Heh, heh......believe me, my daughters don't have a clue about this.
OMD, I am rolling.
Funny!
LOL! Monty likes to hump his old white fluffy crate liner that I keep in the basement. We would be sitting in the living room, he would walk over to the door leading to the basement and give me the longing look. I would get up from the couch, open the door into the basement and turn the light on for him as he marches down the stairs for a session with his "girlfriend". After few minutes he comes back up, I get up from the couch again, ask him if he had fun, turn the light off in the basemend and close the door. I don't know what it is about the crate liner since Monty does not even try to hump his real girlfriend that he plays with three times a week.
That is Doodle Love right there!
