How does your doodle eat treats or kibble from a kong, or kong like treat dispenser?
My inlaws dog Abbey the Akbash cross (1 yr) eats her food seriously fast. Faster than Cooper did as a puppy. She will eat 2 cups of food in 10 seconds. We have tried so many things - Coopers slow feed bowl, spreading kibble onto a cookie sheet, even tried Cooper Aikou but she struggled to figure that one out.
So we bought her an Orbee Orbo (the pink and blue one)
It took her a little while to figure it out, but it slows her down wonderfully. We have to fill it 3 times (she now gets 1 1/2 cups) and it takes her well over 5 minutes (I havent actually timed her, maybe I will tonight). Cooper of course felt left out, so we fed her in her Aikou, but she still kept looking at Abbey's Orbo. I cant find Coopers kong though I know we have had it out since we moved to the inlaws, so we bought her an Orbo too (the yellow and orange one that glows in the dark)
Abbey will pick up her Orbo and drop it on the floor to knock the kibble out, and nudges it with her nose.
Cooper will lick each and every kibble out, sometimes standing, sometimes laying down, and will occasionally gently tap it with her foot. Abbey eats her food just a little faster than Cooper (they both get 1 1/2 cups per meal).

Sorry I can't help. Mine are big time grazers. I'll fill the bowl with 3 cups of food in the morning (they both eat from the same bowl) and when dinner time rolls around there is usually some kibble still left. They are both at healthy weights so this system seems to work. If I leave them seperate bowls they'll just pick at each others' bowl anyway, so I might as well only dirty one bowl at a time. They are both much better at controlling their food intake than I am :-\
Sometimes I give Sophie a treat ball filled with kibble with a couple of treats mixed in when I crate her and she likes it. Winston would just get annoyed and try to eat the whole ball.
I love the weighted Kong its the best, they get there mental stimuli going while they eat treats, it could work for kibble as well. That is my recomendation.

Chloe figured her kong out right away!! Then she ate the kong!!
That's what I was afraid Haley would do. He totally destroyed other treat dispensers as a puppy. I didn't think a Kong would be any different.
Sasha my goldendoodle ate her food like lady. Oliver my labradoodle would inhale his food when he was a growing puppy, it would be gone in seconds !!! Once Ollie turned 1 he slowed down and now he eats at a normal pace. I give both dogs treats that they have to work for in toys etc. The both like to figure out how to get the treat out and have lots of fun doing so, it keeps them busy and the really enjoy it.
As a puppy (and still on occasion) I gave Shelby her kibble in her "Buster Cube" - just for fun, she is NOT a speed eater. I've seen them at PetSmart and they are available online. You fill it with kibble, rotate it around and the kibble has to work through a labryinth <sp?> on the inside before it falls out. She loved it, kept her enteratained... might have to try it for tonight's meal... just to keep her on her paws!
