I don't know if you have seen the news on the weather, but the mid-South region, including Kentucky, Tennessee, Arkansas, Alabama, Georgia and a few more areas, are bracing for tornados this afternoon.

If you go to the Weather Channel, or anywhere else, there is a circle of white in middle-TN, where I happen to be located (and other DKers for sure).  That area of white has the greatest chance for tornados and is on high alert.  Schools are closing at noon today.

I am at work, Peri is at daycare 1.5 miles from me.  Tacky is at my parents (yes, we were so scared we took him to grandma's so he wouldn't be alone).  Honestly, freaking out a bit.  They are usually pretty spot on with these reports.  I wish they would just go away!  Of course I don't want them hitting Nashville, but don't want them moving north or south either!  JUST GO AWAY!

This could probably be a blog, but I wanted to get other DKers attention - everyone in the South stay safe today and tonight!

UPDATE:  DH's office is closing at NOON - he is an attorney, so that's a big deal.  Thank God he is picking up dogs and going home to the basement.  My work has a basement, so we should hopefully be okay.  Fingers crossed.

I hope everyone is safe.  I live in Huntsville, AL.  We have had tornado warnings all morning.  I was taking an all day class at UAH(local university) today but we spent the whole morning in the basement tornado shelter and finally rescheduled when there was a break in the weather.  I am glad to be home with my doggies and kitties now.  I hope the weather calms down for everyone.

Be safe, everyone.

Prayers for everyone!!!

OMD, I hope everyone is safe!  Please keep us posted....

Stay safe everyone.  We are under Tornado watch until 9pm here. We are in the red in Ohio.

Hoping everyone is well and your loved ones and homes stay safe!

I heard about all this and the first that came to mind was "quick - log onto doodlekisses and make sure everyone's okay". I hope everyone stays safe...I've heard reports of a lot of damage already today. STAY SAFE!!! We'll be thinking of you all

Be safe... how scary!

It's snowing here and we have a Winter Storm Watch in effect. The worst of it will probably just miss us, but the more northern parts of the Great Lakes area may get as much as 12 inches before tomorrow a.m. and blizzard conditions.

Poor Michigan! The southern part is in the tornado storm path and the northern part is in the blizzard path!

All is clear here in Southern Ohio and we have come through unscathed.  The worst of the storm looks like it hit in Indiana, Holden and Henrysville.  We did have some damage in local areas from what I've heard so far, but not sure of any details.  For us it was a lot of rain 2" in like 20 mins.  From our storm closet I couldn't even hear any wind.  My Sister is 8 miles south and they are without power.  My folks are in between my sister and I and they have power but also had lots of wind and rain.  Our thoughts and prayers are with all of those afffected.

Glad you are good!!

I'm glad some of you are through the worst and none the worse for it. Thanks for checking in.
