Today I took an empty 710 ml pop bottle (plastic), and threw in a handful of dry kibble. He needs to eat anyway, right? Well, he is currently chasing that thing all over the house. The only mess is a few pieces of dry kibble scattered about, he's getting exercise, and he's busy. Obviously, I left the lid off so the right chasing/tipping motion will result in a kibble reward. Any more good ideas out there?

My kids!
Sandy- that's a great idea! Ollie's favorite toy is a 1L Mountain Dew bottle. He loves chasing it across the hardwood floors because it makes a lot of noise. I never thought to put some kibble inside. I'm definitely going to give that a try.
My toes! LOL
An old dish or washcloth tied in a knot then pour over or soak in chicken or beef broth (or water in the summer) then freeze. It's great for teething and cools in the summer and the best part is you just throw it in the wahing machine and start over. Even my older dogs love it but it's better outside as it melts.
Very good idea.... might give that one a try!!
I read this tip somewhere but can't find it, works really well at our house: put a carrot (or any other favorite food), into an old sock and tie a knot, give to dog and watch him chew !
Neat...............we like the flash light for our older dog. she LOVES to chase lights!!
Gutted squeaky out of an original toy, put into a sock and tie in a knot. Gives that squeaker a longer life.
maybe we should all write a book called "101 uses for an old sock" ;)
Here's #3 way for an old sock (not low cut): put an old tennis ball inside it. Great for playing fetch and Lily likes to grab it on the run and shake vigorously. Only 98 more to go!
What is it with those *#*&^#@% empty water bottles?!!?!!?..lol....Walking Blake on recycling days is so entertaining! Oy!
I used to let Halas play with the empty bottles, but then he couldn't distinguish between empty bottles and full bottles. Or between bottles that were his and bottles that I was trying to drink out of. Luckily I always keep the lid on. So I'd go to the bathroom, come back, and he'd be playing with my full bottle of vitamin water.
