The Hopeless Doodle Addict Trophy has arrived in Sarnia, Ontario!

Well it has been quite a week: my part time teaching contract at the College has been renewed for next year, Gavin passed his TDI test and MOST importantly, this package arrived at my door today!

 

It was from Sherri, Sophie, Winston and the Kitty!  It had travelled a mere 600km South West down Highway 401/402 from Ottawa, Ontario to Sarnia, Ontario.  Gavin helped me open it.

It contained all sorts of goodies including a card from our nation’s capital and some beautiful pictures of Sophie and Winston set against Ottawa’s gorgeous spring landscape.

Also included were some fun dog books including “The Art of Racing in the Rain” (which was next on my reading list), an Ottawa coffee mug and some fair trade chocolate bars for me and for Gavin some treats and his very own kitty!

Of course the most important item enclosed was the Hopeless Doodle Addict trophy which Gavin put his nose print on.

For the last two and a half years I have been involved with this incredible community who have helped me celebrate the victories (house-breaking, training break-throughs, grooming successes) and supported me during the times of defeat ( job loss, long nights with a sick dog, training set-backs) all the while keeping me smiling and entertained.  I was very new to this social network stuff when I joined.  My first “friend” was Joanne (and Spud) who I credit for showing me the ropes (could there be a better guide?).  So thanks to Adina and each and every one of you for all that you have done for me and Gavin and all that you have done for each other.  A huge shout out to Sherri - her generosity was overwhelming.  DK rocks!

Where will the trophy land next?  Here is a hint – it will be crossing the bridge pictured behind DH, Gavin and Mylie from Canada back to the USA.  Stay tuned…

congrats!  So I just looked at my page to see how far away I was from being an HDA and noticed that I got there almost 500 points ago (good thing i'm so observant!! lol).  How do I get on the list to have the trophy visit my house so I can prove to my DH that i'm not the only doodle obsessed person out there?  :)

Im interested in knowing that too, I got HDA a few months ago... though it sneaked up on me too and I was a HDA for  while before I noticed lol

The trophy is sent by the person who has it to the person on the list with the next highest points. . Adina helps with letting them know if that person has received it before, or would not be interested in receiving it.
So watch the HDA list as you move up in points and the closer you get to the person that just received it will give you an idea of when you will get it at your home.
