What kind of coat will my little labradoodle have?!

Hi there! This is our new 8 week old labradoodle puppy, his mum is a wool coat f1b labradoodle and his dad an f1 wavy labradoodle. We gave him his first bath and he has turned into a fluffball! Can anyone tell me what kind of coat he has/will have?

I think you need to wait and see. But he definitely does not look like a wool coat.

Very cute pup with a lovely face--here is a picture of a pup I raised for a breeder that looked similar at that age--but your pup's ears are wavier, which means to me that her coat will be wavier than this girl's coat--similar texture though. This was taken at 5 months.

definitely not wool (look at my page for photos of a wool labradoodle) and probably not fleece either. I would guess your cute pup will resemble the lab more than poodle, with a "hair" type coat

Oooh he's a tough one for me to guess. I want to say that he'll have an open (smooth, non fluffy, scruffy) face, but I'm NOT sure.

I would say a wispy looking labrador with maybe a little longer some what curly ears and short muzzle and face. Though doodles love to go poof from what I've seen from pictures and surprise thier owners with color and coat changes at 8 months to a year. The shorter hair will come in handy if he is anything like our puppy who seems to be able to divine water from a rock.

Your puppy reminds me a little bit of my Sadie, who is an F1B labradoodle. Here she is as a very young pup (7 weeks, I think) and at 8 months. She is wavy (but curlier on her head and legs) and sheds just a tiny bit (and would shed even less if I were better about brushing her more). I know it's not a technical term, but I think of her coat as fluffy. :)
