Labradoodles in Shelter

I just read that some labradoodles may be in a shelter near Kamloops British Columbia. I don't know any deatils. I just noticed a thread on a breeder forum. If anyone is looking for a pet there may be dogs looking for a home.

"Several quality breeding Australian labradoodles have been put in this facility. Looks like they were from Avonlee labradoodles. I do not know why they are there and don't know if this is a kill shelter or not...Can anyone help and find out who is in Canada?

Unfortunately im no where near BC, i hope these pups find good homes, looks like 2 of them are siblings

I hope these dogs find great homes. I am wondering if these are Puppy Mill dogs based on the descriptions of some of them. Katie reminds me of my Fudge. So sad to see all these dogs.

It always makes me so sad to see all these homeless animals. I just want to hug my two as if giving them extra lovin will somehow make up for all the love and care some of these pets may never get. If only that we're true. I hope they find good homes for them all but the Labradoodles are especially adorable.

If they are from the breeder mentioned, they are ALDs.

I used to live in BC. I knew a few people who got their ALDs from Avonlee - Im shocked that they put dogs in the shelter... unless the breeder died and the family dont know what to do with them

Barb from gemstones labradoodles (leader of the grooming group) lives somewhat close (within a reasonable driving distance). I have emailed her.

I have passed the info on to Jacquie, but the DRC has no volunteers in that area at all. :(
