I found something that I just have to share with my dog-loving friends! I was in Barnes & Noble today skimming through the current issue of Modern Dog magazine & came across an article about Jessica Alba & her dogs, who have their own, totally awesome, custom-made DOG DEN in her HOME!! Check it out...
I thought this would be a fantastic discussion to start here on DK as I haven't seen anything like it yet. Do your pets have a designated spot to call their own in your home? Have you seen a unique doggy room that you'd like to share with the rest of us? I just can't get enough of these custom creations, what a great way to insure your pup really is a member of the family!
I hear you Meg - Samantha's favorite room is whereever I am at that moment - my bedroom, den, kitchen, dining room, bathroom. So far, the only place that she does not go is the shower. I actually get a few minutes alone!

I love it!
I think my dogs would totally use it. They also like to follow me around and be near, occasionally Thule will go nap in her crate and Rosco will go sleep in our bedroom while we are in other rooms of the house. So they do like a chance to get away now and then.
I love it! If I were building a home (and could fit it in the budget -ha- kind of like playing "if I win the lottery...") I would love to put one in an all one floor plan, or next to a first floor master bedroom. That way you could let the pups out easily in the morning or have a doggy door. Lily likes going in "her" room - aka, the laundry room - when she wants to nap away from the craziness which is our house, or just chill. I would love for her to have a room near the rest of us.
That is a riot. Lily would love it! I think I will have to settle next summer for a plastic babypool from walmart for $10. Perhaps that company should get with the program and start offering pools shaped like bones... I bet they'd have a few takers around here.
I love it...and would totally have one....if I had a room to devote to the pups. Back in the day (before the dogs) we had a 2 bed apt. and we had a cat room. The cats loved it. It was not as nice a Jessica's dog room but it had everything our cats could want, unless the door was shut.Cats hate closed doors.
That's really cute - our doodles wouldn't use it (unless we were in that room) - they want to be wherever we are. During the day when we're at work they hang out in the living room because it has a big window facing the front of the house :)
