Labradoodle size?

Hi everyone. I am new to this website. I recently adopted a lab/poodle mix at the humane society last week (8 weeks old and weighs 6lbs). I had no idea how popular they were and I don't know much about them. I've been searching websites to find out information. Does anyone know by looking at him if he's going to be a mini, medium or large and what kind of coat? I know it's hard to tell and it can all change later but I  know some of you guys know more about them then I would. His legs are really short but a long body....weird but cute! His coat is really soft and a slightly wavy. It really doesn't matter what size he will be, but I'm just curious. I love him just the way he is no matter what.

He is darling!  I have a mini and she had real short legs and a long body too.  I don't know what your doodle is but he sure is CUTE!!!  Have fun with him and be sure to keep posting photos as he grows.

My medium Kona was 6 lbs at 8 weeks and she is now 32 lbs full grown.  Kobe's got some cute short little legs though, could be less, or not if he is a stocky one.  He is adorable :P  Can't wait to watch him grow!

HES SO CUTE!!!!   He looks somewhat like my Benny but Ben has longer legs.  Ben was about 6-7 lbs when we first got him at 10 weeks but he is still growing.  Currently he is 5 months old and around 24 lbs.

Wow!! Lucky you! Adorable pup! 6 pounds at 8 weeks sounds like a mini to me, but you will have to wait and see. Generally double the weight at 16 weeks for adult weight. He may be 10-12 pounds by then, putting him in the 20-25 pound range. 

I wonder why such a great pup was at the Humane Society? That seems strange since there is such a market for these dogs--glad you got him!

Thanks for the info. There was two of them there. I asked why they were given up and the lady told me that the owner was dog sitting and a Lab dog got her poodle pregnant few weeks before they were suppose to get her spayed. so it was a mistake I guess and they couldn't keep the pups (out of three pups, they kept one). I would of taken both if I could of but I'm happy with one :) I  love him so much!
