Rustie's at the Bridge waiting for us.

Had to put our beloved Rustie down today! She couldn't walk & was falling. Couldn't have her suffer any more. We're all hurting really bad. Ruby misses her something awful. I held her when he gave her the injection. The vein kept collapsing & she was groaning. I kept telling her "Mommie's here & you're a good girl" That's all I could do for her. Thanks thru tears!! I am so sorry for your loss. I too have held my dog through getting that shot, and it was one of the hardest days of my life. But I had to keep telling myself that he was no longer in pain or suffering. After a life full of love and squeaky toys, it was the kindest gift I could have given him. So, I offer my condolences as I know what you're going through. So sorry.

Oh my gosh...through my tears I had to tell you how much we understand. A few weeks after Hurricane Ike we lost our 14 yr old due to kidney failure and than had to put down our 7 yr old springer girl due to her hips/reprercussions of a blown knee from 07' which caused her to get very aggressive. We were devastated and missed our girls so much and still do...it has only been a few months. Our new little goldendoodle, Molly, has helped to ease our pain but we will forever remeber and love our two springers. Sue I am so sorry for your loss and I know how your Ruby misses Rustie. Our April missed Freckles so much! Take care...Lizette

Susan, please know that our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. I know this is very difficult for you, but I'm sure Ruby will help you get thru this. We had to put our Golden Retriever/Husky down last Thanksgiving, and even though we knew she would never get any better, it was still one of the hardest things I have ever had to do. So hold Ruby tight and let her give you lots of Doodle hugs and kisses.
