So I put little Charley outside and ran to the bathroom. I didn't think she would get herself into trouble in the two minutes I was gone and I thought she would just follow my other dog around. Well, she got stuck UNDER my house. I tried to take a picture but couldn't get it clear enough. Aperantely I need to reattach a loose board under my kitchen window. I had to wake my 16 year old up and as we were practicly tearing a whole into the side of the house, Charley found her way back out. I think it scared her because I can't put her down without her crying and jumping up on my leg. I fully understand how these puppies need to be watched every moment outside. I also understand the passion in the words to the lady that wanted her puppy to stay outside all the time. Good grief! Shame on me!

I'm glad Charley is okay; it really is scary how fast they can get into trouble! Hope you both have a better day!

What a scary time... Thank goodness that your  son could help you!

I'm glad all worked out.

So glad this had a happy ending - it does show how quickly things can go south.

Sorry that it scared her but happy she is okay.

Wow, Laurie!  Yes, I keep telling my DH that it only takes a couple seconds where our eyeballs aren't on them and they can get into trouble.  Glad Charley is OK.

Laurie ~ I am so glad everything turned out ok and she was not hurt.  I have had a panic attack or two myself this last year.  You are so right in that it can happen in just a moment or two! They are just so curious.

I was watching a puppy for a week or so and she got into everything so fast! And could leap over gates!! i finally had to take her into the bathroom with me to avoid catastrophes when I needed a potty break....unfortunately that inspired her and she piddled on the bathroom mat! LOL!!! Glad your pup is OK--it really only takes about 10 seconds to bond with these little cuties so after a week, she is more than family!

I am so glad everything turned out just fine.  They sure can get into trouble quickly.

Awwww...poor Charley... it takes only seconds for them to get into trouble and murphy's law the second you turn your head they will find trouble !!!  My doodles are 3 and 2 1/2 yrs old and I still check on them in the back yard every like 5 minutes.  I have a completely fenced in yard AND they have electronic collars on as well.  But the e-collar is to keep them out of the garden and koi pond :)  but it does give me a bit more securith to know they cannot get out.

I'm glad you got her and she is OK :)

I have thought about this since Calla is too heavy for me to lift. I live in a small town so I think I would call the police if she were in trouble and I needed to get her to the vet say. I hope they could get her into my car so I could get her to the vet hospital.

If you think about all the times Firemen are called for a CAT IN A TREE and you even see rescues on TV I would have to say yes.
