We took Gracie to the vet - upon good advice from all of you. She has a 103.5 fever, so the vet gave her IV fluids, a shot of penicillin, and an anti-nausea drug to help her feel better. She is resting on the couch(!) and will get some chicken broth later to keep her fluid level even,
We don't have a definitive diagnosis. Vet says she could have a flu-like virus, an infection, or an illness in its beginning stages. The vet will call us Thursday if we don't need to call before that.
Thank you, all, for your concerns and advice. I LOVE this website.

Sorry that she's so sick, but I'm glad you took her in. I hope she'll be feeling better soon.
Here's hoping it's nothing serious and she's feeling better once the meds kick in. Keep us posted.
I am sorry that she is not well, but glad that you were able to get her to the vet. I hope she is all better by Thursday.
Could be kennel cough although there is usually sneezing or coughing with that. Another dog can show no symptoms but can be carrying the bacteria--usually takes a few days of incubation though--boy, I hope Gracie is OK--will be thinking of you!!!!
Oh the dreaded fever of unknown orgin! We are experts of that here. Here's hoping for a quick recovery. They do rebound fast.
Glad you took her in to the vet. Keep us posted.
Thrilled that she is feeling better. Just dilute the chicken broth with water to make the water flavorful. Put some in an ice tray and freeze them. She might enjoy a special treat and it will keep her busy for a while.
Awww I hope you get feeling better Gracie... sending doodle {{{{ hugs }}}}} your way.
