Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum

I saw a lady walking two doodles on the way home today. I say to her, "oh what cuties, they're doodles right?" She says in the snootiest tone, "NO, they're miniature, Australian labradoodles." She was so offended. WTH?

Lol - guess she won't be your new best friend.  Some people just aren't nice - don't let it bother you.  I have an ALD and a rescue Goldendoodle and unless we are going to stand and talk for a bit - I just say "yes doodles".

Me too!

LOL, Does she not notice the doodles at the end of her sentence. People are so freakin odd sometimes.

Yes indeedy.

lol just a snob...

She is NOT worth worrying about!

She was in a different city than I live in. I visit every Thursday to go help a 102 year old lady. I take her and the caregiver to lunch. We see a lot of elderly people in that area, many with dogs, and they are usually so friendly! This is the first time I've ever experienced something like that from somebody when just trying to be friendly. Hello, our doodles are designer mutts! We love them, but it's not like they're purebred, and even if they were, holy heck lady, stuff the attitude!? lol

Holy Heck, indeed! Who cares.

I am a dog freak and when I am away from my boys I have to stare at every dog and comment out of the love of dogs. Geesh!

Haha!  Yup, sounds a bit snobbish to me!  She probably doesn't yet realize that ALD's are a mixed breed too and not as close to breed status as she imagines.  What's funny is pure breed folks wouldn't think ANY more highly of a multigenerational ALD than a fresh 'ol F1 labradoodle =)

I'm looking forward to being able to bring Bailey (after his 12 week shots) to visit my friend. I hope to see that lady again. *rubbing hands, plotting my next move!*

*muwahahahah

Bailey is way, way, way cuter than her dogs anyway.
