Earlier today I was fiddling with my settings on my page and suddenly started to get a deluge of emails notifying me of each post of any discussion i was involved in--something that had not happened before to that extent--50-60 emails an hour started appearing! Maybe there are a lot of people home today due to the storm or maybe it is the calendar that has us buzzing, but it seems like my change in email settings caused this. I went to the settings and unchecked certain categories and then went to the discussions that were emailed to me and clicked on "stop following" and there has been no change!

Any other ideas!!??

I went to daily setting and the e-mails come in grouped under one heading.  I miss getting up to the minute notifications but since they are grouped under each discussion, I can click once and catch up.

I will try that--thanks--and somehow i have to get less emails total!!

There are a LOT of emails today--calendar stuff!  Every time I look at my email there are 50-60 more!!  I'm just slogging through.

Did you remember to click "Save" after making the changes in your settings? It's easy to forget that step.

I did, several times actually and no change--I finally did what Nancy suggested and went to "daily" and they stopped. So, now I will check and see if I still get so many each day. I like to keep up with DK, but that was crazy!

I'm getting tons of mail today but mostly related to the calendar, all things that I am following.

Got my daily update--that is much better--I get a lot of emails from other things I am involved in and they were getting buried....

you can also "stop following" if you go to the original post page.  I'm trying to remember where exactly it is....I think it is under the reply box.   A nice feature when a hot topic comes along

I did that and it did not work at all, but seems to have worked today. Thanks!
