Chloe was attacked at the dog park two days ago. She sustained several puncture wounds and is on antibiotics but no stitches needed. This is the third or 4th  time she has been attacked while just standing and by a dog she has not interacted with. She is very submissive and just howls and tries to get away. This time the dog  kept going after her and I had to hit the other dog with a tennis raquet to get him to stop. Both Chloe and I were very traumatized. I know there are many discussions about dog parks and I wish I didn't have to go there but I have no other place for Chloe to be able to run and burn off energy.  I am beginning to feel she sends out some type of weird "vibes" as it seems like the agressive dogs keep "bullying" her. She plays well with many  dogs and has never had a problem with them. I do leave if I see a dog acting agressive but all of the attacks have come with no warning.

F. thank you so much for posting this link, I read it and frankly I have to send it on to "Bella", so her mom continues to keep her hair short around her eyes. Every time I get her I trim her "bangs" so she can see, not sure if her Mom approves but I say, "hey, she's mine when she is with me". OOPS.

We take Lolli to the practice fields of the local high schools to run off energy.  Most of them are gated off completely and rarely in use.  Another great place to go are tennis courts, IMO.  They, too, are gated off completely and you can let the pooch romp till she can't romp no mo'!

I hope she's feeling better quickly and you are as well.  Poor babies!! Both of you!

sorry to hear Chloe got attacked how old is she,our doode was around 1 year old and he got attacked at the dog park so I stopped going for awhile but he justed turned 2 and nobody pushes him around now he will put them in there place and soon as that happens they play good together.Best of luck.

I would definitely say that after this many bad experiences something needs to change. She probably doesn't enjoy going to the dog park at all, seeing as how many issues she has had there. I would look into daycare or ,maybe just stepping up the walks...

I hope she feels better soon, such a scary thing to have happen!

Taking her to the small dog section was my suggestion and I read that you are going to try that.
