Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum
I have been doing searches on DK for jolly balls and so i know alot of you have them for your dogs and were really impressed with them. Has it stood up to time? Has your dog kept interest in it?
Where did you buy it from? What side did you get for your dog? (Cooper and Abbey are 70lbs)

Right- your pink ball. Yep, those pop. But that HUGE blue ball has holes so it really doesn't matter. It re-inflates all by itself through the holes that are already there. Perfect
Fudge loved this ball, but Vern was scared of it and will not go near it.
Poor Vern. Kind of resembles the butt or parts of a man in a lawn chair to him I suppose?
Who knows how Vern thinks :)
I have them for my horses and it was in the pasture... the first day I got "Ivory" my cream standard Australian Labradoodle she was so fascinated with it that she pursued it, and then popped it and carried it away...

This looks like different materiel, Karen. Odd. Mine actually has holes bit clear through but never POPS
Cute photo though. My dog was fascinated by a similar toy. I have a blog around here somewhere about a ball I took away from my mother that Spud popped in 13 seconds. And he played with it deflated for weeks
We bought our Jolly Ball at Tractor Supply. We have it as a supervised outdoor toy only because Tucker will chew the handle off if left alone with it, he absolutely loves it. We alternate between the Chuck-it and the Jolly Ball.
I bought a hard one that is 6 inches in diameter and has had a handle--the dogs chewed the handle off and lost interest in it--was a waste of money for me--I am afraid to buy another one, but maybe the rope one would be fun. They do not play fetch and are not that interested in balls--they would rather play with those animal toys with no stuffing--they get a three way tug of war going and before you know it, they have THREE animals (or pieces of animals) but they keep playing with them anyway--so that is fine...
Has anyone ever tried the Varsity Ball? http://www.varsitypetsonline.com/products/Varsity-Ball
We had bought Ari a Jolly Ball (the large one) and he LOVED it! He carried that thing around everywhere! It was great in the water too! That ball lasted us over 3 years, until finally the handle broke. I will be buying one for Noel once she's grown. Hands down - one of the best ball toys I've ever bought.
