If you could change anything about your doodle (s) what would it be?

As you all know we think our Daisy is perfect and would not change a thing about her for ourselves.

That being said I think if we had the option, the one thing I would do for Daisy is change her fear of so many little things. Her fear of blowing objects, a falling leaf, the Goodyear Blimp in the sky, an object in the distance that she cannot decipher. I would prefer she be more curious with a healthy dose of caution, and I a willing partner, for her to move to those things just to verify that they are not going to harm her. I think life would be sweeter for her which of course would make life for us that much better with her in it.

I adore Monty, perhaps because he is my first dog. The only thing I would change about him is his dog reactiveness when on leash. It only started recently and we are working on it. With Auggie, he is still changing, so it's hard to say. Oh, perhaps stop the backyard destruction.

But really the ONLY thing I would love to change about my dogs would be their life span. Both of my doodles are still young, but it's just very hard for me to even imagine losing them in a few years.

Oh I so agree about the lifespan, Jarka!!!  Buddy turns 8 this year, where have the years gone????  I want to say stop, don't get any older for a while.

Ah Jarka, this is THE BEST complaint and I agree....it certainly isn't long enough.

I wish Mattie wasn't so food oriented--she lives to eat--but otherwise she is great--oh, and she barks at the dogs on TV--can't watch dog shows. Lyric is a bit too much of a guard dog, but really very well mannered at other times and her son Rio WAS too growly, but now that he is neutered, that may change--too soon to tell....I love them all and they are great, but what dog doesn't have some little thing you would like to change?

I sometimes am involved in selling the doodle pups that my dog has as part of a guardian home program for my breeder and people sometimes really expect to be handed the perfect dog in an 8 pound package. They think that because their dog is a doodle it will be the perfect family dog. That can be very true, but even with tons of training and care, all dogs are DOGS and can have their little idiosyncrasies--like drool or barking etc.....if they only realized that once that puppy is in your arms and you fall in love in about 5 seconds, you don't mind the idiosyncrasies!!

Yep, they are all a mixed bag of tricks, trials and triumphs and I wouldn't trade any of them for one thing.

I would change Finnley's slight standoffishness towards men. It's not all men either, just certain ones at random.

I also would like it if she understood that all cat products, toys... food.... and litter box are off limits.

My dog that passed 5 years ago never, and I mean NEVER bothered with any of those items ! Aah, puppies :)

I guess I am lucky in the people aspect of Daisy, she loves them all short and tall, males and females, young and old.

I have nice things to say about my old dog Zach but he was mean with a capital M. Couldn't trust him at all with anybody. But we loved him, every inch for 15 long years. I am sure if I were smarter he could have been better but I wasn't. He did love his Mom and Dad though, even his human sissy most times.

Our Boo is a great swimmer, but will only go knee deep. I wish she would jump right in:)
