Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum

Hi,

I had posted earlier enquiring about the coat type of my doodle and I just received a more recent picture of her and was wondering about her coat again.  She is 8 weeks old now and still doesn't have a hint of a facial beard and no curl on her head or face, I was wondering if any one elses puppies were like this and what did they end up looking like.

I also like her little white stripe :)

In my opinion she will DEFINITELY doodle out. I can already see it in her face! I'll attach photos of our pup, who was very straight and smooth at 8 weeks and now at almost 9 months is very wavy with a beard ...

8 weeks

8 months with a very dirty beard after digging in the yard!

Super cute Jen!

Aww my doodle just turned 8 months old as well! Your baby is VERY cute!! Annie was born on June 1 2012. :)

so cute!  I have a dark chocolate and I know sometimes his beard is this dirty-just can't see it.  Not sure that is good or bad!

I think she will Doodle out, but even though you didn't ask, the most important thing is personality and temperament. In the long run that is all that will matter. She is adorable. I love the Black Doodles.

She will doodle out - I think she's curlier than Peri was at that age. Agree with Laurie - temperament is most important - you will love her no matter what :)

Annie is an F1 labradoodle, but she looks NOTHING like she did as a tiny pup.

I dont know how different Goldendoodles and labradoodles are, with regard to coat, but given my experience with a short haired puppy, I think your puppy will doodle out as well. I can see the start of 'eyebrow' definition, and some longer wispy hairs on the muzzle - Annie had a bit of a wispy look when she was small.

When you get a chance, check out the "Pup to Adult" group here on DK.  Several of the discussions (including "Sedona's First Year") have pictures that document how coats change dramatically during the early months.

She looks like she is waving, look at her eyebrows.

She is just so cute either way.

Jessica,
She is so cute, she looks like she has a very sweet temperament. You are 2 weeks ahead of me I can't wait for the stories! Have a safe trip!
It's so hard being a "new" doodle lover. I have all the same questions because its such a unknown as how our puppy turns out. I have only seen a grown golden doodle & he was 80 pounds breed a golden to a standard. My new pup is a golden to a Moyen. You just never know what they will end up like. One thing for sure they will be the perfect dog for you. Life just happens like that. Lots of pictures please!
