Meet our new family member!

Daphne's mother has been retired from the breeding world and we were lucky enough to bring her home! Earlier this month we drove from Florida (where the temp was 85) to Michigan (23 degrees) to get her. I had been talking back and forth with the breeder for a while and she agreed to let her come and live with us. Her name has been Brice however that is also my nephew's name who lives nearby. We have decided to call her Lucy. I'm hoping that it won't be too traumatic to change her name at this stage. She will be 4 years old on March 1st.

Orange and Yellow were my favorites! Orange(Charlie) looks EXACTLY like Daphne did as a baby!

Lori that is so funny as I was second pick and if Charlie had been picked we were going to go for yellow ribbon!! and Daphne was on my phone pictures because I wanted to ask Tara which pup would look like her when they were grown haha. We did have an email about two or three days after picking Charlie up that the yellow ribbon was coming back as the lady had a change of circumstance or something, we were a little bit tempted but maybe it worked out as she never appeared on the website.

Yes, when we picked up Brice (Lucy), Tara was upset about the yellow puppy but when I spoke to her a couple days later she said that the lady was selling her to her neighbor and she was fine with that. I think she checked out everything herself to be sure. Did you know that Daphne was from there before you picked up Charlie?

I'm really happy that it all worked out for the little yellow ribbon she was so cute as we saw them leaving. Yes we saw Daphne on Brice and Cash past litter page and fell in love, my husband and children agreed we would love one just like her! I'm really happy for you the pictures you are posting are so lovely!

Oh my heart!  She is beautiful!  How lucky to have related dogs like that!  I wonder if that means Lucy will be the boss...Keep us posted!  She is a doll!

I wonder the same thing. So far, I think she is just not herself yet. I'm sure she wonders why she is here. But she is starting to come out of her shell and play a little bit.

I noticed her on the pack listing as well and wondered what was up.  That was a long trip for pick up.  She certainly is adorable.  Did it seem as if Daphne remembered her?

I don't think they remember each other but I could be wrong. Daphne has been trying to get her to play and she pulls on her ears and tail and Lucy just lets her do it. We made the trip because the breeder and I didnt think we should ship her. Harder for an adult dog than a little puppy. I think she thought we lived in the car since the trip was so long!

She is a beauty.  She looks exactly like Tank except his nose is rose and mom/daughter will be together.  Very nice!

So far, I cant them to stand close enough together to pose for a picture. Imagine that! Every time they are laying down or standing next to each other I reach for the camera and they move away from me or turn their heads.
