Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum
I went to PetValu to buy kitty litter and there was a 3 year old cat from the humane society there begging to be taken home. She was so pretty and affectionate and playful and my Kitty would have just loved her.
It would be completely irresponsible and impulsive for me to get another cat. I can't afford anymore pets, not to mention the fact that I am turning into a crazy animal lady. The pet store clerks reminded me that we are alowed 5 per household in this city. grrrrrr.
I need to be talked down fast! let me hear your best "no-more-kitties" argument!

ok ok. no more animals. :)
Cats are sooooo fussy about new cats In the house. Kitty would hate her! There...LOL Done my good deed for the day.
I introduced Kitty to my friend's kitten and she loved him! He wasn't crazy about her though, but that didn't stop her at all from investigating him. :o)
I am late to the game, but we dont do cats on DK. Hows that for reason? lol
lol Sharon. I seem to recall you posting a rather lengthy discussion in the forum all about a cat.
Yep, but my posting was all about how to get rid of a cat! lol
Looks like you got plenty of input here! I just want to throw in two comments--first, I have a few cats who have found me after wandering the neighborhood and I use Cedarific cat litter--it is light weight, smells like a cedar closet and works well--just thought I would let you know about that.
Second, i spent several hours last week looking at local shelters and Petsmart for sibling kitties that were 8 months to 14 months old for a very fussy friend of mine who is confined to a wheelchair and losing her kitty very soon to cancer. She is devastated and wants 2 new cats as soon as this one goes--and after she holds the funeral--yes, she is totally animal crazy and I can relate...so I was happy to help.
Anyway, while I was at the nice cat shelter we have nearby, so many people were coming in and out and adopting kitties! And the ones they put in the stores for several days from the shelters usually go fast-- So maybe this kitty has a nice home already and is in a new family.
I did have a stoke of luck in my search--someone had just surrendered two adorable young cats--brother and sister-- that they had adopted 6 months ago and now felt they had allergy issues. I snatched them up before someone else did! They are sweet and pretty and will be spoiled rotten by my friend--hope no one minds kitty pics on DK ;)
Meet Dexter and Maisy!
They are both beautiful kittens. You are certainly a wonderful friend.
I get such pleasure out of seeing someone get a new pet--especially a rescue--I think I am living vicariously since i would love to have more and more and more pets--just like Sherri! This will have to do--so maybe Sherri can solve her problem by finding a home for that cat--just not HER home!
Great idea Ginny. Maybe that's just what I'll do.
by the way, those two cats are gorgeous! Good for you for helping out. I hope it all works out.
Ditto.
They are beautiful kitties. How lucky for them to be going to someone who will love them furever.
