YAYYY!!  So excited for you!!!

Get LOTS of sleep and rest up!  You are gonna need it!  LOL

It's all worth it in the end though!  We have had Whidbey for two weeks now, and last night she finally slept through the night in her crate!!  Not bad for not even 9 weeks old yet, huh??

Nice!  I hope mine is sleeping through by 9 weeks!

Congrats...so great. We've had our puppy for 3 wks now; he is 12 wks old and I am still getting up at 3 am every morning to take him out. Get your REST this week :)

I figure my kid (who is 3.5) didn't sleep through the night until we bought him in bed with us full time last year, so I'm well conditioned/traumatized.  At least thats what I'm hoping!  :-)

lol..I have a 3 yr old as well, turns 4 next month! I have been bringing Hawk into our bed after his 3 am potty break, he sleeps there until around 7. One thing I'm trying to work on Hawk with is to not jump on my son, Hawk is around 20lbs now so it is enough to knock him over.

So did you land on a final name??

No, but we have a list of contenders.  We're going to meet her and see.  The huz wants Mango and I'm leaning towards something more Irish.  If you have any last minute suggestions, I'm all ears!  :-)

I do like Mango but I'm definitely on the Irish wagon right there with ya! Maybe you can incorporate both! You'll know her name when you see her!

I think we'll know when we see her too!

Ya gotta go Irish since you'll be picking her up around St. Patrick's Day, right? :)

Crate, check. Blanket, check. Rope toy, check. Bully stick, check. Food tray that gets taller, cause they grow so darn fast, check. Healthy kibble s as learned through DK.com via Karen and jackdoodle, check. Ok, ready to go....I am jealous, my baby s only 6 mos. but he is huge, they are only babies for a very short time, make the best of it. Ps, be in their food dish, you don't want food aggression, as well as their chew toys, get in there with them, let them know you aren't taking it, but you still want to be close.touch their feet, tail, belly make them comfortable with it. Especially ears, they get frequent ear infections and/or need frequent cleaning. Believe or not, there s a short window. Do your best to acclimate your puppy. Don't forget about all noises and people too! It all helps in the end. I heard 300 people or dogs by three months...I don't think my boy made that, but e s darn social with people and pets. I brought him out every day and to pet stores at least two times a week.

Check, check and check!  Odorless bully stick and Orijen, check!  I was thinking we'd hand-feed for a couple weeks including the kiddo.  Have lots of plans to man-handle paws, ears, etc.  I have nail clippers, ear cleaning solution and powder on hand and I'm a picker by nature so I'm good to go!  :-)  We also have lots of socialization activities set up in addition to daily neighborhood walks, etc.  Taking him/her to pet stores is an awesome idea...hadn't thought of that...thanks!  SO excited!
