Part goat?

Ok...I know my doodle isn't part goat, but he eats a lot of grass. He doesn't throw it back up, but I actually see it in his poops. It is a daily thing, on our walk he has a specific part with tall grass he always wants to stop at to munch. Is he trying to tell me something? Could he need something I'm not aware of? Thanks!

LOL...Izzy does that too! It's always the same grass. Lucca has one specific "weed" in a teeny little corner that he always finds!! I'll be curious to see what y'all say.

I don't think you're missing anything. My dogs like to eat grass and it has nothing to do with how they are feeling.

All Cubbie does when we go to the dog park is run around and eat the tall grass that grows along the fence line.  It is really annoying.

I agree with the others. As long as he isn't making himself sick, I wouldn't worry about it. Maybe that particular grass has a sweet flavor to it, lol.

Luna is part goat too - she eats a TON of grass.  Her favorite delicacy is actually the grass roots.  She never throws up after eating her outdoor "veggies" either.

Haley likes to graze on tall grass that has escaped being cut with the weed eater. He does sometimes throw up from it. He also LOVES lawn mower droppings.

Charlie does this too... I've always wondered about the appeal. He runs in the backyard, takes a bite on the run, turns around, runs the other way, takes another bite. Grass is usually stuck to his beard at the point I call him back inside.

Chelsie, Tugboat does this a lot too!  Not too much grass over here in our neck of the woods, but when we take him to the ball field to run and play ball, he LOVES to eat at the grass and roll around.  I wonder if it might have something to do with when they were puppies at the breeder (since we both came from the same one)?  He's always headed toward any grass he sees, from the first day we picked him up.  :-)

Hershey also loves just one kind of tall grass/weed.  The stems of the grass/weed are round and juicy.

Libby eats grass all the time too and so far does not bother her at all.

Trav has a favorite house for grass, on our way to the park.  We always have to allow some time for him to browse at the 'salad house.'  It's long grass outside their yard area, and he always stops to snack on it!
