Hi I guess this could be considered a silly question but I know this is the place for all the smart answers though . I d like to find and put in a product like Cheez whiz or a cheese that you can squirt into the Kong
I'd am questioning if its ok & a good idea ......I called my holistic pet store they don't carry anything just wondering how safe this is...it's got to be easier than getting pnutbutter into the little Kong toys for puppies!! I have given her that would like it to be simpler for me...I make a huge mess doing that. She has had Sweet Potato chips they are great also
Just wondered ring about a squirt product if safe & which exactly if a good idea
Thanx in advance
Happy weekend to all

Too many chemicals and hydrogenated oils- I would not eat it so I would not give it to my pup.  Try this- fill up a ziplock  with peanut butter, cut off the corner and squeeze it in the Kong.

Lori is right about the chemicals and oils..... and SALT, so much salt ! Her peanut butter and the ziplock bag is a great idea !

Agreed!  If you won't eat it, don't give it to your pup.  We use these little squeeze sack idea for fillings for cannolis and catalonis  so it is great.  Why not peanut butter also?  Actually, the squeezed up sweet potatoes also.  I bake lots of veges in the oven and throwing in a couple extra sweet potatoes would be no problem.

You can also try one of those hard plastic interactive toys that you unscrew, fill with kibble or I used the Mother Nature Natural Puppy Biscuits.  They're small and it's easy to fill up the toy.

Kong makes a product like what you are talking about but I don't know the nutritional value to it...I know they carry it at most Pet store chains and Walmart has it too...

it is not good, i would not give that to my dog

you can also use a small spoon and fill the kong with plain yogurt or babyfood and then stick it in the freezer overnight.

Plain yogurt, mix with peanut butter, add some cranberries or craisins ( NO not raisins as those will cause renal failure), add some chunks of cookies for bulk or just plain kibble.

Place in the freezer and pull out when necessary.  Below is a photo of treats I used to make for crates.  Those are not KONGS, but leg bones. Same difference with the fillings.

* Kibble
* Peanut Butter
* Yogurt
* Crumbs left over from the dog biscuits

* small chunks of apple or banana
* Or any foods your dogs enjoy

Why is there so much cat hair on that cloth?  Sorry, really bad photo. I should pull.  But I just grabbed something to photograph so please ignore

You are the only one who would have noticed the hair. All I saw was magnificent treats for Spudders.

Ok so first I wanted to comment on how amazing those treats look and wallow in envy of your skills but then I got so caught off guard with your cat hair question to yourself that I had to pause and regroup. I would not have even noticed that if you hadn't pointed it out... I was too mesmerized by those treats!

i do a similar thing with bones, but with canned food (a real treat for cooper) - shove it in with a spoon, put it in a baggie and freeze it. any mess on a plate cooper gets to like up (and the spoon)
