hello everyone! Midas has to go in for a haircut soon.. we want to have him as short as possible.. (as he is a shedder and is is ALWAYS hot) but i want to keep his face like a doodle...so i guess they would trim it and clip it.. i was very upset last time when the groomer cut Midas' eyelashes when i specifically asked him not to! this time i want to go in with a picture of the cut i want. i think it is called the puppy cut but i could be wrong, can you show me your doodles haircuts please! thanks in advance! xoxo

My puppy Lily just turned 1 on the 19th. I always ask for a puppy cut. It took a few times at the groomers to get what I was looking for, especially on the face and head but I am pleased with the look now. Although the last time she accidentally cut off half her eyelashes on her left eye. They are extremely long and probably do need to be trimmed.

Gorgeous doodle, does she have a docked tail? It looks short but maybe it's just the picture.

Yes, it is docked. Didn't really think about it when we looked at her as a puppy. Something we are used to and like.
Here's my Ellie with her puppy cut!!!

How lovely, Ellie is a bit like my Boris and I am going to start trimming him myself very soon.

This is Milo at 11 months old and about 30 pounds and about 3 weeks after being groomed - needs a grooming every 6 weeks or so.  The groomer scissor cuts him.  About 1.5 - 2 inches on the body and matches the legs in.  We were very happy with this cut.  We have had his head hair longer, but for us, this one fits...longer looks puffy on him!  We only cut him to about 1.5 inches on the body as the shortest - but it really is not that hot around here.  With the puppy cut we got a tidy up of the bottom, back end, face and slight trim all over....its different everywhere we checked.

This cut is beautiful and so is Milo:)

Wow--scissor cutting must take a long time --with such a thick beautiful coat--I give the groomer a lot of credit!

They usually schedule 2 hours to do it and it takes about 1.5 hours.  It cost more because of the time (twice as long), but the results are usually better - at least for us.

Here is Chase after his 'spring' haircut!  I took him down pretty short (it also helps to hide the coat changes he had as the result of some health problems), but I think he looks cute like this!  I use clippers on his body and scissor his face, legs and tail.  It takes me about three hours to clip him (not including the time to brush and comb him out)!!

what a beauty!! thanks!
