Thats right folks, Lupin ate a mouse.  A frozen, dead mouse that she dug out of the snowbank by the neighbor's wood pile.  A mousesicle, if you will.  I almost lost my diner.  I'm giving her a bath.

That happens, sadly.  These are Sport Dogs and it sounds typical.

In a few weeks though, take a stool sample to your vet for a parasite report. I would.

She's having a check in 3 weeks when she goes in for her next round of shots.  Assuming something ugly happens prior to that.

I hope you can figure out how to wash her inside and out! Blecht!!!

I know, right?  The bath was just for me.  Since I probably can't get her to gargle with Listerine....

HAHAHAHA! I might try! ;o) JK

Ack!  Ack Ack!

I hope the bath made YOU feel better lol!

hehee, last saturday morning my husband was out "cleaning" the backyard of Lucas' droppings. It was early, so the sun was not quite up yet. What he thought was poop, turned out to be the innards of an unidentified animal, while he was giving it closer inspection, lucas lunged and ate the whole thing in one fell swoop! He said it looked like a liver and a kidney. After the sun came up, we inspected the grounds, there was blood in the snow and a patch of black fur...thats all the clues we have. I could not eat all day, Lucas was happy with his high protein meal, yuck!
At least we know he didn't kill it, he is always leashed with us outside. Should we test him for parasites as well?

Ohmygod.  My stomach just lurched again.

Brush her teeth!

I want to.....and yet I don't know if I can.  All I can see is mouse tail......seriously.

Oh my, not sure I want to eat dinner now!  That is so freaky:)  Hope they both are ok!  Definitely have stool checks:(

:)

Thanks for the laugh!
