Does anybody elses Doodle lay with their hind legs splayed out behind them?

Bix has laid like this since he was a puppy. The vet says it is a sign that he has good hips but it sure looks funny!

Just wondering if it is another one of those "doodle things"!

Yes, I have one of those and in fact he is laying like that now. :>) I worry because it doesn't look like something a 65lb dog should be able to do. I sure hope your vet is right about it being a sign of good hips.

Mine all did that when they were younger. Not so much now.Aja is too fat ,she has to lay on her side.Its really cute when they do that...

We call it "Frog Legs" too!  Our dogs have always done this.  I love it!!

I see so many pictures of this and I was really hoping that Myla would do it, but no such luck!   I've never seen it before this website so I thought it was a "doodle" thing.   I think it looks so cute!!!!

Wilson has done this from day one!  He is 6 now and still lays like this every day.  I have always encouraged it by telling him to "Stretch it out!"  Very cute.

mine used to all the time but I don't think her hips can take it any more when laying down on them but she does do the boneless thing while on her back

Bella only lays like this and Murphy never has. Not sure if its a sign of good hips or just liking her belly to be on the cool tile. Ei ther way it is such a cute position.
