I haven't watched TV for a while but last night I noticed a really cute Toyota Rav commercial about two dogs competing over toys and sticks - it looks like a chocolate doodle to me but I only saw it once so not sure.  Does anyone know if it is???

It's a Wirehaired Pointing Griffon.

Wow, I've never heard of that dog before and so I googled it and I'm sure the image that came up is the same dog on the commercial!!  LOL  - Thanks Karen!

Take a look at German Wirehaired Pointers, too. Very similar. That's what I thought it was at first, but then I checked some WPG websites and found posts about the dog in the commercial being a WPG. 

The tail on the dog in the commercial is the main giveaway that it's not a doodle, but some type of pointer.

Just googled the WPG and I can see how you would get it mixed up. I just saw a labradoodle over the weekend that looked almost identical! Very cute. The tail is a give away though, I think doodle tails are primarily more curled up.

A lot of doodles have "saber tails", which don't curl up. In fact, that's the breed standard for the ALDs. It was the length of the tail that gave it away for me.

There is a recent ad for the new Subaru Forester that shows (very briefly) a dog that seems to pretty clearly be a doodle of one type or another--it reminds me a lot of Sadie.

OMG! My mom will not stop talking about that commercial and how it "looks just like Winston". I have yet to see it. All she could tell me is it's some kind of Subaru lol. I'm going to try and google Suburu Forester commercial.

When I first saw the Suburu commercial I yelled "it's a doodle!"  Not positive but sure does look like it could be.  I love seeing doodles on tv.
