Just the other day I was looking at a series of pictures on all the dangerous things  dogs have   eaten seen on xray.  With  Debb, Lucy, and Oscar's, post tonight~ Oscar eating a Safety Tag, this may be a horrible situation, but certainly an interesting topic

Well thank goodness poop doesn't need to be surgically removed or we would be in surgery nonstop! But now this makes me wonder what else she could be eating! Crazy!

Sedona must be the female version of the "perfect" JD.  To my knowledge, she's never eaten anything but food.  Even when it's her food or a treat she's been given many times, she has to sniff it before taking it, just to make sure it's to her liking.  Sedona's cousins - my daughter's white lab and Yorkie - are completely different stories.  Their motto appears to be "Eat first, ask questions later".  The worst was when the Yorkie ate a package of disposable razors - fortunately only the plastic handles.  No surgery, but my daughter had to rub numbing cream on his little bottom several times each day for awhile so he'd "go".

Daisy has never eaten anything weird, her sister however has stayed with us and pooped out a kitchen towel (from her house not mine)and little girls underwear (again her house). Also, during her spay, the vet pulled out 2 little girls socks and a pair of little girl panties. She put them in a bag and gave them to her Mom to remind her that the girls should pick up their rooms. It is also how I got her Mom to purchase pet insurance for her.

Good advice from both you and the vet! And I'm glad Daisy doesn't share her sister's "tastes", lol!

Yep, like your JD Daisy never eats anything but food, she unstuffs toys and leaves mounds of stuffing all over the house instead.

Roxy ate copper wires from the end of a light socket.  No electricity involved.  Has had no problems, but a lot of anxiety by her mom.  Does anyone have a special pet insurance they like?

Hartley once ate five latex gloves covered in bat poop. $350 vet bill for them to make him throw up!

Oh no no no.   I am not even going to ask why the gloves or why covered in bat poo.   Nope. Not asking

Bella is my constant chewer, eater, and pooper outer. So far I think everything has come out but I have no idea what's in that belly. She is fine, and I hope someday she outgrows it, but Petplan has my steady business until then. She has pooped out little baby socks in matching pairs, my husbands tube sock, in two segments, a strip of fabric 1" wide by at least 12" long. We had to help pull that out though. We have found little toys, segments of her toothbrush most recently, lots of grass, tons of paper, paper towels, tissue paper, mail, magazine pages, geez, I can go on and on. But poop is still her favorite and yes, Star, I too am glad that doesn't cause any blockage

Wow, that is pretty scary! Oscar's obstruction (the Quiet Spot tag silencer) didn't even show up on X-rays. You know all those dogs had X-rays because they were sick and surgery was just around the corner for them. Kinda sad :(

Except for the dog that ate an alien, lol.

LOL.  In each xray I looked before I read the captions. I did see that Alien.  AHHH!
